after having read all the books in the series before this one it took me nearly 8 months to eventually buy this book because of a twist I didn't want to happen with the main character. I kick myself as jacka masterfully enthralled and weaves his magic throughout the pages to deliver another superb story I only wish I hadn't waited so long. after this review I'm going to buy the next in the series.

You won't be able to put this down. I listened over 2 days and just when you think you've got it sussed, you realise you've been misdirected. My only niggle is Arachne's voice has changed slightly but that's me being pedantic. The plot is very well thought out and it's fantastic to see how each detail has been tightly woven.

You are left literally craving for more!

the story was as ever brilliant.... only a few logical leaps. a few changes to the way some characters spoke was weird - mainly morden who sounds too close to a sterotypical businessman rather than the way gildert originally portrayed him. beyond that all very good!

It took me a while to get used to the narrator's style. This is the first one of this series I've had as audio book. I am pleased I persevered as I enjoyed it.
Good character interaction and development. a story that keeps you hooked and isn't too predictable.
