I don't listen to unabridged Audible recordings. If I'm going to listen to a story, I want to hear the whole story, not what an editor decides I should hear. I love the Logan McRae series and have listened to all except the abridged recordings. Stuart MacBride and the Logan McRae series is too good to miss a moment. Please Mr. MacBride, keep them coming!

The story line maybe a bit too close to home if you have young children but it is well written and well narrated.

This was my first DS Logan McRae story, it started with a lot of promise, but then went down hill, slowly, but down it went. Very graphic, the characters are good, but the story is all over the place and pushes the fiction word a little past its limits.

I love Stuart McBride's Logan McRae series and this was a re-read for me but the first time of listening to it. A gritty story with great characters and enough moments in it to keep things moving. Steve Worsley made a great job of bringing it to life

This novel was well written with copious references to the locality and local culture. The plot ranged over a number of crimes which wove together with suspense and surprise.
