Summary
It's been three long years since Deadbreak. That's what everyone's calling it - the day the dead rose. Every day since then, Jeremiah Reid has had one goal: to make his way back to his daughter. With his four-legged companion, Joe, Jeremiah has to travel a lawless wasteland teeming with zombies, bandits, and worse, like people who put anchovies on pizza (you know who you are).
It's a new world out there, and no one is safe. People are weary, cities are in ruin, supplies are scarce, and brains are on the menu. If he's going to have a chance, he'll need his wits, a little bit of luck, and lots of ammo.

loved it
Best book I've listened to in ages. the main character was so funny, he had me in stitches. Great original story line and the narrator brought it to life. I hope there's more planned. fantastic book, give it a listen

This is great book!
I’m really impressed by the story and narration with the right level of humour. The main character doesn’t do anything stupid or when you yell at yourself why did do that. The whole story was just so good. Always had to find the right time to listen to it. If you like this kind of story you will enjoy listening to this.

The close actor is suited so well to the character
Simple but great story of survival against all the odds. Remark on humanities ability to when everything goes wrong to still hurt on another and how some will always rally against this.

I wish there was more
I cannot find the words for how much I enjoyed this book.
The narrator is excellent and it was a pleasure to listen to, everything was vivid in my mind.
The story is brilliant and has a bit of everything you would want to find in a zombie apocalypse story, so many stand out moments, it was really just a continuing string of them.
Had me cringe at the gore on occasion but also laugh out loud at the humour. And nodding appreciatively at the references to movies etc.
Currently in the plus catalogue but I’m spending a credit on this one, I want to have it in my library to listen to again and again and again.

My Favourite Book……… Ever!!
I don’t believe in a perfect score as nothing is perfect BUT this story is pretty close and does deserve 5 stars. I’ve listened to this book 4 times now and each time is great, The story that follows Jeremiah, Jenny and Joe is non stop action that’s filled with sad and heart warming moments but sprinkled with laugh out loud lines. I’m definitely waiting for a second book to continue the adventure! The narration by James Fouhey is outstanding and brings each and every character to life. This book is a must read/listen for a Zombie or post apocalyptic fan and this Audiobook will not let you down!!
