About this listen

A young Polish girl fixated on fame. A killer with a deadly obsession.

Detective Jack Mackinnon has his work cut out trying to track down missing student, Anya Blonski. As Mackinnon follows the trail of obsession and murder to the shady owners of the Star Academy, who thrive on society's obsession with reality TV shows, he realises the fame they offer comes at a price. When a second girl goes missing, Mackinnon is forced to consider a serial killer may be stalking the city.

Didn't really enjoy if I'm honest. Did not grab me or sustain my interest

Slow paced

great story line that I found quite gripping. I thought the narration was excellent. looking forward to book 2.

Gripping story

Reasonable story if a bit tame compared to others on similar themes. Dialogue between the main characters maybe a bit too gentle for hardened cops. Narrator ok but maybe a bit lightweight. Altogether ok but for me could do with a bit more bite.

Ok but…

Not for me

Just not compelling enough. A disappointment . Bland in content . Easy to stop listing and forget

Rather boring

This is the first in a series, so lots of it involved introducing the characters etc, it’s fairly short ,but overall worth a listen, really liked the narrator

Good start to a new series

This was an enjoyable listen and I did get used to the narrator and it worked well for me, I got very involved in the story working out how it was going to be resolved. Given this I am going to continue on with the series.
I listened to this via the audible plus catalogue
