Summary
Ellie Beckett's life is simple and uncomplicated; she's on track to become a leading expert in biomedical engineering, she has a pub where she feels comfortable enough to hang out multiple times a week, and so what if she doesn't have time for . . . people? She doesn't need or want them.
Until she meets Mia Sharpe.
As it turns out, maybe Ellie does want at least one person.

Enjoyable but rushed end
I was really getting into the story and enjoyed the characters a lot. I was starting to get slightly irritated at just how long it was taking for them to get together, and then they finally did and it was the end of the book with one very rushed sex scene that happened so fast it was all a blur and not easy to picture. Then a tiny epilogue and done. I still enjoyed the book so 4* but I prefer people to get together atleast a bit earlier so I can get to know their relationship for more than (literally) 20 minutes of a book.

Amazing!
Lori Prince does such a great job at delivering the emotion as always! And I love anything that’s written by Haley Cass. Such a great author. I highly recommend anything either of these people do. Does not disappoint!

Loved it!
I fell in love with both Ellie and Mia. Heart warming and feel good. Loved the book with Ellues sister Riley. So good!

Lori Prince has the best voice acting I’ve heard
She always puts everything into her performances and it’s really impressive. It always brings a story to life.

Big bang theory
for all needs who watch the series as brains are attractive , I love awkward characters being one myself.
haley cass writes a wonderful slow-burn/self-discovery romance, new to town meets shy woman, friendship develops over 2 yrs before awareness and a kiss have both hiding feelings in fear of losing that friendship ,
narration is acted rather than read , in the way only the marvellous Lori Prince does
excellent

It's not great
The story looks forced, and it took to much time to evolve it looks confused in some parts and tho it has some crying in it it doesn't have any emotions. It's good to listen to it overall when you don't have anything else

Not Haley Cass’ best! But still listenable.
I absolutely loved when you least expect it and those who wait so was excited to try this. I was left quite disappointed. It doesn’t have the same excitement that the others had. As a stand alone book, it’s okay, but compared to the others, definitely not as much of a ‘page turner’.
