Nice easy listening I started at page 1 to the end it took quite sum time but been partially bed bound I had it. Part way through I realised it reminded me of Robin Hud but either way dragons and majic. The down side been an English man was the narrators American accent and way to my way of thinking pronouncing words badley. I quite often find it really annoying.

Great story - awful narration. The dramatic pause in almost every sentence became irritating within a few chapters. Bear in mind that this series takes a total of 5 days 8 hours to read! So many mistakes in the recordings. Often parts repeated. At one stage an entire chapter from a previous book was inserted in another book. The characters all sounded like they were drunk and evil - even the good guys. It was confusing. The 2 heros of the series were 17 years old, but sounded like old men. Every laugh sounds like a witches cackle, and the repetition of the sound effects in words like "whistle" (sounds like whiiiiiiiiiiiistle) which was repeated every time an arrow missed was painful. It was so hard to finish this series. I only stuck with it because it's a really good story. You will need to grit your teeth the entire time it takes you to get through it. The narrator would possibly better suit playing a part like Santa Claus.

This a probably the worst set of edited books I have paid to listen to. I gave up after book 6's chapter order went 29, 30, 31, 30 then 33. This issue seems to be in all of the first 6 booked.

I forced myself to keep listening… it must get better… it’s never taken me so long to get 50 hours in and I just can’t take anymore, the storyline is weak at best… and the narrator leaves a lot to be desired, maybe it’s just me but in my opinion it’s not worth the price or the effort of listening to it

Worst narrative ever. The idea behind the story could be good but it is very poorly implemented. The characters are stupid, all of them. They make stupid decisions all the time and it all works out in the end because plot armor. It only get’s 2 stars because the narrative is even worse. Also there are so many discrepancies with the books, sometimes you get chapters that are way up into the books, then you ho back to normal then you get to listen to 2 chapters twice or 3 times. I want my credit back!!!
