Summary

There are three sides to every story: Yours. Mine. And the truth...

Max and Alissa have a fairy tale life - newlywed, madly in love and enviously rich. Then Max is brutally stabbed to death at their home and Alissa, miraculously, escapes with her life. But why was she spared?

The hunt for the killer begins, uncovering a number of leads - was Max's incredible wealth the motive? Had his shady business practices finally caught up with him? Or was it a stalker with a dangerous obsession?

Devoted friends rally around gentle, sweet Alissa as she is left to mourn the loss of her husband and pick up her life. But not everyone is who they seem...Deep-rooted jealousies, secrets and twisted love lie just beneath the surface, and not all fairy tales have a happy ending.

Duplicity is a suspenseful thriller from the bestselling author of Look Behind You and Where the Memories Lie.

Brilliant book by an amazing storyteller

Would you consider the audio edition of Duplicity to be better than the print version?

Wow. I need a lie down after this book! The audio version was brilliantly narrated and added colour to Sibel Hodge's amazing writing. I'm a big fan of this author and could not wait to consume this book. I was not disappointed. I loved the characters. They were so fully fleshed out, I felt as if I was listening to a movie, their images and actions were very real in my mind. As for the story, there are so many twists and turns, I was constantly changing my mind as to who the real antagonist was. When I finally settled on someone, Sibel shook things up all over again. I could not stop listening to this book. It went everywhere with me. And the ending - what a roller coaster! For the reviewers who said they had to suspend belief - it's fiction, just go with it. I loved every second and was not thrown out of the story at any point. The author is an amazing storyteller and this is a brilliant book. I could not recommend it more.

Well worth reading.

This is a very well crafted story, very sad when describing the horrendous childhood experiences of one of the female characters, inflicted by her adoptive parents although with the visible neglect I would have hoped in a real situation that her schoolteachers would have investigated. This is a small part of this intricate story though with various other characters involved and plenty of twists as it all plays out.

Said the actress to the copper

Really good who-dunnit that I couldn't stop listening to. Pacy story line throughout. A really surprising and unexpected ending. A most enjoyable story and well recommended

Well worth the read

Good story, you won't be disappointed. Not too far fetched. My only issue is I am not sure about the narrators who in my opinion are as important as the story itself. Sometimes the change in voice doesn't always come off.Nonetheless I would still recommend. Sibel Hodge is one of my favourite authors..

Unexpected twist in the end

Enjoyed the story and performances in this audiobook. The characters were believable and despite the plot being a little incredulous it was well written and performed. I would recommend

Excellent narration!

Really enjoyed listening to this one. The plot was perfectly paced with several twists and turn right up to the end. I guessed a few of the twists but it made me even more excited to see how they were weaved into the story. The narrators were excellent! Full on performances with accents and emotions. I listened to this within 2 days. I would definitely recommend this book!
