Summary

Perfect for fans of Cathy Bramley and Katie Fforde. Originally published as novellas, this paperback contains all fours parts of the story from irresistible beginning to heart-warming conclusion.

Eve has always lived on Ennisfarne, an idyllic island just off the coast of Northumberland and only accessible when tides are low. There she runs a bar overlooking Darling Cove, a heavenly horseshoe-shaped beach named after her seafaring ancestors, whose links to the Farne Islands stretch back centuries.

Logan is a famous photographer desperate to evade the limelight after a difficult break-up. Renting a cottage from Eve, he chooses Ennisfarne in the hope of anonymity but is immediately spellbound by its natural beauty.

The pair don’t get off to the best start, butting heads over Eve’s adorable but boisterous Chocolate Labrador. But when Logan's true identity is revealed, Eve realises her new tenant isn’t quite the man she thought he was. Is it too late to start again or will Logan’s island escape be over almost before it’s begun?

The brand new novel from Holly Hepburn, author of Coming Home to Brightwater Bay, will whisk you away to a sublime seaside retreat you’ll never want to leave.

Darling Cove was charming

I very much enjoyed this book, which was evocatively written and well read. The story of Eve and Logan’s growing love story was quite charming, although very frustrating as most of these books are. The atmosphere of a small island was well evoked and made me almost want to live there myself, I would definitely recommend this book as a way to separate yourself from all the troubles of this world. It was a very nice love story that ended well.

Darling Cove

I usually love Holly heburn book but this one just didn't hit the mark somehow. All the characters were there but something was just missing.

Absolutely Darling of a story!

Facts and fiction cleverly mixed to give a look though the lens of life off the Northumberland coast and characters of island life.

Escape to Darling Cove

I loved the endearing characters and the wonderful island setting. Pure escapism at its best.

Great story

Enjoyed the storyline very much. Although the accent for the locals was unrecognisable as Northumbrian which was a bit of a turn off to start with until I switched off to that and concentrated on the plot. Look forward to next in series

Interesting setting and cast of characters - light but fun storytelling. I enjoyed listening and will look for more from this author. Very well performed by the narrator too.

Loved this audiobook

Loved it. Listed to this book and I really recommend it. Loved how the story opened up and the location of where it's set, brought back memories of visiting when I was little.
