I will be honest I bought this as I love the narrator, she is one of my favourites. I am so glad I did though as I loved the story, loved the characters. I started this this morning when i started work and only took my ear phones out when it ended. I actually can't wait for the next in the series, I'll be one clicking that for sure!

This was a lovely, gentle, lighthearted, romantic story of six people and a woodland. I loved it all. I was rooting for all of the characters, all of whom I felt I knew. I listened to all of it in a couple of days. My first listen from this author and I have already downloaded the next one.

There was always something going on, with six people involved. The book was written so well to give stories to each of the characters. This meant I had to concentrate, which really made me focus on the story and get out of my own head. Kind of like Milly Johnson’s books which I love and binge read!



So often these kinds of books are described as gentle and light hearted and then they feature some kind of severe trauma, domestic abuse, graphic bedroom scenes or lots of serious illness. This book really IS gentle and has none of those.

Karen was a good narrator, really brought emotion to the story. However I found her voice for all the male characters annoying. They all sounded like an enthusiastic salesman.
