Summary
The founder of Waze and Moovit, and one of the world's most successful entrepreneurs, Uri Levine, gives you the ultimate practical guide to starting and running a business.
Unicorns–companies that reach a valuation of more than one billion dollars–are rare. Uri Levine has built two. And in Fall in Love with the Problem, Not the Solution, he shows you just how he did it.
As the cofounder of Waze–the world's leading commuting and navigation app with more than 700 million users to date and which Google acquired in 2013 for $1.15 billion–Levine is committed to spreading entrepreneurial thinking so that other founders, managers, and employees in the tech space can build their own highly valued companies. Levine offers an inside look at the creation and sale of Waze and his second unicorn, Moovit, revealing the formula that drove those companies to compete with industry veterans and giants alike. He offers tips on:
- Raising funding
- Firing and hiring
- Understanding your users
- Making up-scale decisions
- Going global
- Deciding when to sell
Fall in Love with the Problem, Not the Solution offers mentorship in a book from one of the world's most successful entrepreneurs and empowers you to build a successful business by identifying your consumers' biggest problems and disrupting the inefficient markets that currently serve them.

An absolute gem for people building company’s
This is one of the best books I’ve ever read on how to build a company. Up there with The Hard Thing About Hard Things, Ben Horowitz. No other book has come close to this. There are so few people who’ve built successful companies and shared the journey, Uri Levine does this succinctly, candidly and humbly. It is so easy as a Founder to get lost in how great your own solution is. Levine’s message is a simple one, yet extraordinarily powerful and reminds us to think big and never lose sight of the big problem you need to solve. Reading this book will help you craft your narrative for investors and your team and ensure effective communication. His reflections on failure are equally compelling and inspiring. This is a slam dunk masterpiece, destined to be a classic. A must read for Founders, company builders, operators and anyone considering embarking on the entrepreneurial journey. Five Stars!

Very practical.
Gives you very practical advice to complement more theoretical books. Wouldn’t recommend it for the first book to read about entrepreneurship. Better if you are a bit familiar with the topics.
