This is exactly the same book as another but by a different narrator. Thoroughly annoyed this wasn’t made clear!!!

Annoyed that I got this version as the other one is several hours longer, just by a different performer. No info on that when I bought.

Duplicate but shorter

Such a shame this is an abridged version, as I originally bought the unabridged one and had to give up on it because I did not like the narrator's style..
The other version: gives the book in full, but the narrator speaks far too quickly, almost as if she is in a hurry to just get the book-reading over and done with. She just did not do justice to the book, in my opinion.
This version: Anne Reid does a much better job and is more fitted to narrating this type of book. Sadly, it's abridged though - what a shame the publishers didn't get this narrator to read the full version.
Given the rushed version of the former, it would have made more sense to have that narrator read the abridged version and the latter read the unabridged book!
