Summary

There were three things that I wanted in life.
To dance like nobody was watching.
Travel the world.
And fall hopelessly in love.

I did all three.

We met at my older brother’s house and instantly I knew that he was trouble.
He kissed me, right there in the bathroom without a care in the world.
And from that moment on, I was his.

We were young, brave and naïve when we met.
Sneaking around and falling in love.
Giuliano Ferrara was perfection.
A beautiful, crazy mistake.
With his big brown eyes and his boyish charm.

But then the world fell apart and things didn’t go as planned.
I never quite forgot him, no matter how hard I tried.

Years later, we saw each other again.
And by the look in his eye, I instantly knew.
The sweet romantic boy I once loved is long gone.
In his place, a dominant, powerful man.
Who gets what he wants, when he wants it.

We can never be together.
It breaks my heart that he refuses to accept it.

I’m the object of his affection.
And what Giuliano Ferrara wants.
Giuliano Ferrara takes.

A great book and fantastic performances

I enjoyed reading the book but the narrators have to be commended for their performances - particularly Dale with all of the different Italian characters he has to portray - Bravo!

Awesome Narrators

Absolutely outstanding. The book is brilliant but the narrators Sofia and Dane bought Francesca and Juliano to life… one of the best audio books I’ve listened to. So 🔥🔥🔥
Can’t wait for Valentino in audio 😘

Even better in audio.

I read this book on Kindle and listened to it straight after listening to The Italian. Great story, plenty of twists and turns and great action and suspense at the end. The male narrator was fantastic, His Italian accent was brilliant. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Got there in the end!

I must admit, I struggled listening yo the first half possibly the first 2/3rds of this book.
I absolutely LOVED The Italian and while I was aware that there was something 'taboo' based on their initial meeting, Guliano and Francesca had me struggling with their great love!
Methinks that the book focused too much on their story initially and the drama at the end could have been used to take me away for a while from the uncomfortableness I felt as I was listening to how they dealt with their love.
After the resolution of their origins, the book took off for me and had me in its grip.

The love between two people

Holy hell, my heart was constantly twisting and turning my emotions were at an all time high. This story certainly keeps you gripped.

I wish there was more to the end, like another book about Bianca or something
