Summary
Danny Walker, my big brother’s arrogant, powerful, handsome, and completely unobtainable best friend.
He’s a ruthless tech tycoon, and I take calls from angry clients who can’t reset their passwords.
He lives in a Grade II listed mansion with holiday homes worldwide, and I rent a room in a flat-share with my best friend and mice.
Our worlds couldn’t be further apart.
Falling for him is not an option.
Eight years ago, I made the mistake of flirting with him only to be rejected…hard.
To this day, he won’t acknowledge me as anything more than his best friend’s silly little sister. Which is fine because I can’t stand to be around that emotionless CEO.
Regardless of him being the hottest man I’ve ever met.
Now I find out he’s bought the company I work for, making him my boss’s boss’s boss.
And he wants to get rid of me.
Danny Walker is not a man to be messed with.
But perhaps there’s more behind his cold, detached stares than I thought.
Stone-faced ruthless CEOs don’t fall for scatty girls like me. Or do they?
Taming Mr. Walker is a standalone, full-length sizzling office enemies-to-lovers romance starring a brooding CEO and a feisty, sarcastic younger heroine.

Worth a second go-around!
I was provided with a free copy to review.
I read this book when it first came out, and it swiftly became a favourite. So when I was offered a free audible copy I couldn’t wait to listen.
The story definitely held up on a second go around and I loved it just as much as the first. Charlie is a bright, cheerful, rather catastrophe prone, city girl, in her late twenties, who has had a crush on Danny, her much older brother’s, grumpy, taciturn, sexy friend since she was a teenager. She decided to try and ride him when she was 20, but he rejected her and their relationship has been tense since then. However when he becomes her new boss things suddenly become more complicated and situations soon escalate.
This is a giggle out loud listen, and Danny is as swoon-worthy as they come. I thoroughly enjoyed the lurch from situation to situation, with misunderstandings, mis-readings and hot sex galore.
The audio version certainly adds to the story in a positive way. Kitty Kelly does a superb job at all the voices, with the various accents. I particularly liked her rendition of Cat. Her version of Danny is also very good. Ciaran Saward doesn’t do a great job of the female characters, especially Charlie, but he more than makes up for it with his gorgeous soft deep voice and Scottish accent. He makes Danny even more swoon-worthy if that’s possible.
Even if you have already read the book and enjoyed it, like me, then this audible version is definitely worth a credit, and if you haven’t read the book then you are really in for a treat.

Loved it!!!
Had already read the kindle version of this book and loved it. OMG audible version even better. I was laughing out loud at some bits and swooning at others. Scottish Danny Walker is hot 🔥
The narrators were brilliant too, being Scottish I’m often disappointed with narrators who aren’t Scottish murdering the Scottish accent. But Ciaran Saward was brilliant 😍
I’m away to listen to Resisting Mr Kane right now! Love Rosa’s books ❤️

Cute and funny
Wow… This MMC is a real MacDreamy with his brooding ways and Scottish brogue. He’s a nice character but sometimes a bit condescending towards his female counterpart, but well worth some drooling once you get over that. 🤤
The MFC is funny and charming although neurotic at times which puts her partner in some really unfair positions. However the characters although flawed are both funny, charming and really relatable. Except from the whole billionaire thing… I wish 🙄😅
The plot is really good and stays interesting and engaging throughout. This story made me both laugh, cringe and have a bit of a heartbreak which is a sign of great writing if you ask me. Really like the prose too, it flows real nice.
The narration is better than good. It took me some time to learn to distinguish between the female narrators characters and storytelling, it was so subtle, but eventually I got into it and it flowed well. The male narrator I wish could have read the male parts throughout since there were quite a bit fewer chapters from the MMCs pov and that could have brought a bit more balance I think. But he had a nice voice and great character voices and really liked his subtle Scottish accent and tenor rumble. 🤤😉

So Good
I’d already read this book on Kindle and absolutely loved it. So, when I saw that the audio version had been released, I was excited to get it. Amazingly, I managed to get one of a few giveaways from Rosa herself. Now there’s always a moment when you worry that the audiobook won’t be as good as the written novel. However, I needn’t have worried because the narration is fabulous. Huge shoutout to the male narrator, who has the most beautiful Scottish accent. His English one is also impeccable… not sure if he’s Scottish or English actually. Ciaran Saward could talk me into anything….. Get this audiobook, you won’t be disappointed. Rosa Lucas, take a bow!
