Summary
Gideon Ramsay is so far in the closet he should be a talking faun.
A talented, mercurial, and often selfish man, Gideon has everything he should want in life. Fame, money, acting awards - he has it all. Everything but honesty. At the advice of his agent, Gideon has concealed his sexuality for years. But it’s starting to get harder to hide, and his increasingly wild behavior is threatening to destroy his career. Then, he’s laid low by a serious illness and into his life comes Eli Jones.
Eli is everything that Gideon can’t understand. He’s sunny tempered, friendly, and optimistic. Even worse, he’s unaffected by grumpiness and sarcasm, which forms 90 percent of Gideon’s body weight. And now, Gideon is trapped with him without any recourse to the drugs and alcohol that have previously eased his way through awkward situations.
However, as Gideon gets to know the other man, he finds himself wildly attracted to his lazy smiles and warm, scruffy charm that seem to fill a hole inside Gideon that’s been empty for a long time. Will he give in to this incomprehensible attraction when it could mean the end of everything that he’s worked for?
From the best-selling author of the Mixed Messages series comes a story about a man who needs to realize that being true to yourself is really just a form of finding home. This is the third book in the Finding Home series, but it can be listened to as a stand-alone.

loved this story
This was a really interesting story, I loved the characters and it was good to catch up with ones from previous books. The narrator, as always, brought the story to life and I will definitely put it in my favourites and enjoy listening to it again.

Great story with great narrator
I was curious how Gideon's HEA turns out, and it was everything and a bit more.
Gideon and Eli were perfect for each other and I loved listening to their story. Both voices were awesome, and when they got together, my ear and heart narly broke because how hot they were!
Eli is just the cutest, and loved how strong he was. And oh god, how they could be that strong and not broke the nurse/patient code, I don't know. I really couldn't had a chance if I were in Gideon's position. I totally had jumped Eli in the first possibility LOL. So yeah, it was really good that they had strength.
Gideon's life was really good, I mean from where he came and how he changed everything and took everything back. His coming out was really good too.
Loved listetning to this audio. Their first sex scene was everything - Gideon topping from the bottom was so hilarious!
And the epilogue...aww! This is how you finish a perfect romance.
I still have some books to read/listen from Lily Morton, and I find it really funny and good to read them not in release order. This way I know the characters well before I know their story. This way is better, because I know for sure that they will end up happy in their story. AND how cool that every Lily's character are connected in some way. LOVE it.

Full of LIly's fantastic snark
I have loved all the couples in this series so far but I think Gideon and Eli might just be my favourites. Gideon has spent years living the A-list lifestyle and denying his sexuality, at least in public. When a serious illness hits he is forced to take a sabbatical and meets Eli, a private nurse.
Gideon is a surly and snarky as we have come to know him through the last couple of books but Eil is more than up for the challenge. I love how Eli refuses to be intimidated by Gideon and is happy to give as good as he gets. When the sparks start to fly, Eli is determined to keep their relationship professional, for now.

Fantastic book - probably my favourite in the series
I adored this book, and sank straight into it and the characters, and their developing relationship. Who’d’ve thought you could feel sympathy for Gideon after how he behaved in the previous book, but it wasn’t difficult at all. Great narration from Joel Leslie, as always.
If you’re looking for some other books, I’ve enjoyed many by Alice Winters, Alexis Hall and N.R. Walker (some are misses for me, but most I love)

still one of my all time favourite books!!!
I loved Gideon in previous stories and I knew there was more to him than meets the eye and Lily did a great job at portraying a closeted, confused, lonely and genuine person. Gideon is lonely and in need of a family that loves and supports him for him. He has that with his estranged brother Milo and his ex-lover, turned best-friend and almost brother in law but he won’t open himself to love and the possibility of rejection. He is broken, lost and engaged with pretty bad (and harmful) behaviors that almost kill him. Sadly this isn’t his ‘wake-up call’ as he is so set in his ways. Thankfully its Milo to the rescue and he forces Gideon to take care of himself by going on an over 45s cruise to help heal and detox. With the help of the charming, strong and ever optimistic surprise that is nurse, Eli we are in for a sassy, sarcastic and powerful journey to finding your place, your person, and yourself along the way.
This book is truly fantastic, with all you’ve come to love and expect from Lily and so much more. I had a book hangover of epic proportions but I’d do it all again for Gideon and Eli!!!! I loved it!!!

Bad Boy Finds Love
Gideon is the third book in the Finding Home series and although it can stand on its own, I really suggest reading the first two books first for maximum enjoyment.
Gideon is a hard person to like let alone love, but that’s exactly what happens when Eli comes into his life. Sunny, cheerful Eli who’s not afraid of Gideon’s sharp tongue and nasty tempter. Eli who sees beneath the sarcastic veneer Gideon uses to hide his insecurities. Eli who brings out the best in Gideon and makes him happy. Gideon and Eli fit each other perfectly, and their romance is beautiful and addicting to watch. Plus, the sex is really hot and awesome.
Lily Morton is a fabulous writer who expertly crafts her books with humor, excitement, tenderness, and love. Her writing style is smooth with a perfectly paced plot that neither rushes through scenes nor drags along. There’s some angst, hurt/comfort, and a lot of drama, but it’s all tempered by the sweet and snarky romance and wonderful banter.
Joel Leslie narrates the audiobook and does a spectacular job as always. He does a wonderful British and Welsh accent for both Gideon and Eli respectably. His voice is clear and smooth, and it’s very easy to follow along in the story. Joel Leslie also does a fantastic job with the audiobook performance. He puts a lot of energy and excitement into the scenes, and it really brings the book alive. I could hardly stop listening to this audiobook, it was that good. The audiobook production was well done with no glitches.
I highly recommend this book and all the other books in the Finding Home series. This series is definitely on my re-read and re-listen to list.

Gideon - just what I wanted!
Gideon’s story was perfect for him!!! I adored Eli, and together they are all the yassses. I wouldn’t really change anything. It was nice to see what the others are up to and the family they’ve been able to create. I love the writing style outside of a lot of ly words. Joel Leslie is everything, and I mean everything.
So so good!!!

Redemption story
We've met Gideon before in this series and let's just say he wasn't my favorite person. There were clearly issues there but I wasn't sure I cared enough about him to want to see him work them out. Then, along comes Eli and I so wanted him to get his HEA that I became very anxious to see this romance play out. It did not disappoint. From a truly despicable villain to an amazing take on the grump/sunshine trope this book was a winner all the way. Joel Leslie was his usual amazing self. You could hear from the shadings in his voice how Eli's warmth mixed with his take no mess attitude was melting Gideon's frozen interior. He made Gideon's change/redemption totally believable. As always, it sounded like there was an entire cast of performers rather than one man in a narrator/performer booth.

So so narration
This is a great Lily Morton book as usual. It's not my favorite in the series, but who can compete with Oz? Still, it's well worth taking the time to read it and even the listening was good, though I wasn't as crazy about the narration this time around. I normally love Joel Leslie's narrations, but in my opinion the accent/enunciation he chose for Gideon was much too similar to the one he used for Gabe in Rule Breaker, another of Lily's books. The accent he used for Eli was supposed to be Welsh, and though admittedly my only experience with Welsh accents come from the Doctor Who spin-off show Torchwood (which is set in Wales) and the odd rugby player interview I hear on TV, the accent didn't seem right and sounded almost Irish at times. I would love to hear some of Lily's books narrated by someone from the UK just to get the something different, but I would still recommend this audiobook for the story alone.
