About this listen
I loved to hate her...
She made it so easy. She was everything I wasn’t - everything I didn’t want to be.
A reminder that from the moment I was born, I was the outcast. The rebel.
I went against everything that was expected of me and created a life on my terms. I built my own empire, carved out my own destiny.
Then she shows up at my tattoo studio, representing everything I tried to escape. She expects to just fit in...like she ever could.
Tabitha Anderson.
The posh girl trying to prove everyone wrong...that she can be something else - someone else. She hates me because she knows I’m right.
Or so I think. Turns out this isn’t the first time we’ve met, and our hate has history. We have history.
I might not have remembered, but I damn sure won’t forget now. Won't forget how her smile is always directed at everyone but me.
If everything changes and she proves she does fit in, will it still be hate I’m feeling or something else entirely?
And if I’m wrong, then she’s right where she belongs...with me.

Tabitha Anderson is out one night and walks past the sign stating they are hiring so she decides to go in and apply. Little does she know who owns the shop and the encounter she is about to face.
Zach Abbott comes from the wealthy life of fancy cocktail parties and all that good stuff, it doesn't suit him so he went on his own. Nobody in his family knows about his business, he is living in two separate worlds.
Again this book was good, but it seemed like the author was trying too hard to make the chemistry work. I didn't care for it. The characters weren't really enemies to lovers and the fact that they went to school together and she was his sister's best friend and he had no idea who she was is far fetched. Sure she wasn't a popular girl and he may have been in his own world during high school but come on, he never remembers her, not even a little bit?
The sex scenes were graphic and intense so to say, but they seemed forced. They didn't seem passionate and heated they were just rough and done. It was odd for me. I didn't care for it. He was rude and unforgiving and she was a coward of epic proportions. Some of the ways she just went with whatever he said annoyed me, like the tattoo scene... wtf was that? I mean no... just no.
This book wasn't my cup of tea but it could be yours.. not all books are meant for everyone and that's what makes them so great, it's part of the appeal.
The narrators however did a great job. I loved their accents and could listen to their voices all day! It is fascinating to me to hear the way different people pronounce different words.
Good but fell a little short

A Tension Filled Enemies to Lovers
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
After enduring a profound loss Tabitha decides that the best way to honor her is to live the life she wants and not the life her parents want. When she has the opportunity to work as an admin in a tattoo shop she believes that this will help her achieve the independence she so desperately wants but she didn’t expect that the owner would be someone from her past even if he doesn’t remember her.
These two appear to be very different but appearances can be deceiving. The both have preconceived notions of who the other is and watching their journey to realize they couldn’t have been more wrong is filled with heat, angst and a few twists along the way. I thought that both narrators were a great match for the characters. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

That said, this book was good. This is an enemies to lovers romance, heavy heavy on the enemies. I have to admit that I love a good enemies to lovers romance where the book starts with anger with underlying passion. But the anger in this book kind of droned on. Even more than half way through the book, Zach was kind of a cad with other women. Tabitha was a bit too accepting of his poor behavior. That said, once they overcame their anger towards each other, I enjoyed watching their interaction. The narration elevated the story but even with that, I do think the enemies aspect dragged along a bit long. I give this book 3.5 to 4 stars.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Shane East and Kylie Stewart are talented narrators and voice artists. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, grasping each persona, taking the role and making it their own. Kylie Stewart played Biff’s role with perfection and Shane East did the same for Zach. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all of the character’s emotions as well as their passion which could be heard in their performance. . They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Kylie Stewart and Shane East were fantastic as Tabitha and Zach.
The writing was excellent. This was my first time reading/listening to a Tracy Lorraine book and definitely won't be the last!
Hate You is an enemies-to-lovers, best friend's-brother contemporary workplace romance written in dual first-person POV and narrated duet-style. It's a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
