Kel Carpenters world building is amazing and her characters are what we all want in leadimg role's.
Piper im my Favourite FMC ive come across in alot of series ive read.
She is strong and fearless and actually stands up for herself while being caring ,which is nice in a FMC.
But Ronan..... well.... i don't think we need to say much about him 🔥🔥
i cannot wait to see the next installment with them both 💕

It has it all! And the “more than love” story between Piper and Ronan just makes me swooonnn !
He is the most thoughtful demon I’ve read about this year!
Kel did a great job at describing the push and pull that exists between them and also love, loyalty, support that one needs to just believe in a better future.
I loved everything in this story and I can’t wait to get my hands on my physical copies get them signed and give a bear hug to Kel 💛💛💛

I'm really enjoying this series.
I love the way Piper continued to develop in this book, she's a really interesting, complicated character. Nat, Ronan and Lucifer, and the relationships between them all, are great too.
As with book one, there was plenty of action, and the story was really absorbing and entertaining. I enjoyed learning more about the world and how it worked, and having some mysteries from book one uncovered. The plot really progressed here, and things are set up for what looks to be a really interesting book 3.

With the disappearance of Lucifer, a new and darker evil distracts Piper from her quest to save her sister Bree, for which she'll need to draw on all her strength, plus trust demon Ronan and witch Natalie to survive it. Haunted by Shadows continues the slow burn relationship between Ronan and his in denial atma Piper. It was intriguing, dark, bloody and mystical with so many twists and turns.
I loved seeing Piper grow and develop. She's closed off emotionally, snarky, full of anger and determination and has always hated magic, but calm, serene Natalie opens her eyes to her prejudice and we discover a lot more about the witch too. Their banter gives some light relief amongst the angst, drama and suspense unfolding around them.
My main wish following the first book was more of Ronan and my wish came true wahoo! There was a lot more of the delectable, powerful, dominating, dark and dangerous demon which meant of course more from the narrators sexy, deep voice, perfect for Ronan. He is cunning and single minded in his desire for Piper but we see a lot more to him and what he is about as well. As he and Piper grow closer, their chemistry grows more and more fiery and you know it will ignite into flames once Piper gives in to their connection.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, both narrators were excellent and really gave life to all the characters. Can't wait to find out what happens next after that jaw dropping ending!
