About this listen
Your tale is bigger than your trauma. Listen on to find out how to reclaim your story….
Childhood trauma is more common than any healthy society would like, with more than two-thirds of children reporting at least one traumatic event by age 16.

These traumatic events can trigger a variety of responses–such as intense emotional upset, depressive symptoms or anxiety, behavioral changes, difficulties with self-regulation, and problems relating to others, just to list a few. No matter how much you try to avoid or ignore this trauma, traumatic experiences have a tendency of leaving a legacy of reminders that persists for years. Excellent advice for helping with childhood trauma
I thought this audiobook was quite good at describing and helping to heal childhood trauma. It's amazing many of us have these deep wounds that need addressing. I felt that the author did a good job of giving advice based on scientific research and also from her own life, which was helpful. I liked that there were many different options since each person is so different and requires different handling. I would recommend this book.

Relatable and helpful
I listened to this audio as I have a particular interest in BPD which is often caused by early life trauma. The author writes from the perspective of her own childhood trauma and does so in a straightforward but kindly manner with easy to understand language.
The sections for “reflection “at the end of each chapter are useful

GREAT BOOK!
Healing our inner child I think is very important. I myself is have been learning to heal from my past and not let it affect me now and not let it affect my parenting. This book helped me realize why people act so childish and why most people haven't healed from their childhood. I liked the fact that she explained that just because someone is an adult does not mean they are actually an adult because they haven't mature in a sense that they have healed from their past trauma. Now I see why sometimes my parents get so defensive when I try to explain things from my childhood that could have made me the way I am. I think we all have something to heal from and this book it a great book to start!

Great guide to recover from childhood trauma!
I found this audiobook very interesting and insightful, as childhood trauma is now common and should be treated with care.
I could relate this book to reality because most of us have experienced it. After listening to this, I felt encouraged to rewrite my own story of life.
I am grateful to the author, as she helped me heal trauma. The narrator did a great job engaging the listener with spirit and a clear voice. It is a good recommendation.

2023 is the year I focus on mental health
Some years I focus on wealth, others on physical health but this year after failed relationship after failed relationship, I need to figure out what was going on. I read "Attached" and that gave me a clue to my avoidant attachment, now it was time to dig deep and look at the cause. I knew a little about inner child before listening to this book and was intrigued. This book not only helped me to discover what from my childhood was causing these same patterns in adulthood (turns out divorced family and playing the role of soother has made me a people pleaser) but also a host of techniques to move past the trauma and recognize when it is controlling your habits and reactions.

Amazing book on healing from your past experiences
What an inspirational book on healing one's inner child. We all have a past and it is likely that there were events in it that were either traumatic or left a deep wound that might have gone unnoticed or untreated. In this book, Anna Berry provides us insight into how to heal from childhood trauma and have a lighter journey ahead. My favourite chapter was the one on acceptance and forgiveness, I do personally feel that that is the first step in the healing journey and vital in order to move forward,
