Main characters very nicely portrayed, as well as the appalling dowager.

The conflicts between friendships and morals is cleverly done, and the gradual realisation of how to prevail against the bullying relatives is believable in both timing and effect.

Well performed and the mature content is meaningful to the story, which is rare.

The story was too dramatic and there was not enough romance for me. Also most of the characters seemed horrid. The ending was too abrupt and the only good thing was that I didn’t have to listen anymore.
