Summary
Las doesn’t date seasonal workers. Marco’s on a three-month contract.
Lassiter Windsor-March has been planning for his future for as long as he can remember and he knows exactly where that future lies: at his family’s ranch in Wyoming. What doesn’t lie in his future is a summer fling with one of the seasonal workers—they never stick around.
Even if one of those workers is the college crush he’s invited to work a summer job at the ranch.
Marco Terlizzese is as laissez-faire as Las isn’t. He might not know where he’ll be once his contract with Windsor Ranch is up, but he knows three months is plenty of time to get his long-time crush to agree to go out with him.
Amid a starry summer sky, their chemistry ignites as feelings deepen, forcing Las and Marco to decide where they truly belong.

Sweet start to the series
Marco plays hockey and is just looking for Sumner employment for 3 months. Even thoygh he doesn't seem to like his life. He has a crush on Las who he became friends with and asked him out but got rejected.
Las loves working his family ranch. He secretly has a crush on Marco too but turned him down because he was hurt in the past by someone else that was just there temporarily. He does however offer him a summer job on the ranch and to hang out as friends.
This was a quick listen. It was very sweet and a book I easily got drawn into and finished in one listen. I dont know if I'd call it a page turner cause not alot happens in terms of plot but it was definitely easy to read/listen to and I would read it again in the future. The characters were wonderful. Not just the main characters, there a couple side characters I wouldn't mind seeing pop up again. The couple were perfect for each other and had great chemistry. I did find this low heat. A bit more would have been nice. There was no real angst just the will he or won't he stay. Considering these books tend to have a HEA I wasn't worried in that regard. Though I dont fully agree with some of the choices Marco made. I really loved this book. I just didn't rate it 5 stars as I feel like this storyline has been done a bit too much but I definitely loved the world the author created and the wonderful characters and I'm looking forward to more books in this series.
The narrator had a pleasant reading voice and expressed the emotions well. I just didn't hear a noticeable difference in the characters voices and that made it a little difficult to follow the story.

A sweet romance
I like the author's writing style. The description of the characters and the scenery was wonderful.
Lassiter already has a plan of what he wants to do after college. For Marco, on the other hand, everything is still up in the air when he takes a job for the summer at Lassiter's parents' ranch. He plays hockey well, but isn't sure if he wants to play professionally.
I really liked the two likeable protagonists, I liked them from the beginning and it was great to watch their relationship develop.
The story was sweet, romantic and shows that it's always worth fighting for what's next in life.
I haven't listened to Aaron Hokanson much and I liked his voice and performance. I could distinguish the protagonists well and I'm already looking forward to the next volume!

Full of Emotion x
An emotional story, which flows nicely. Sweet and dreamy, a lovely almost angst free tale. Las and Marco work so well together, it was a relief when they got together, so much pining. The narrator does an excellent job capturing both of the guys, and all of the emotions and love.

Swoony & soft cowboy romance
This was so lovely and sweet, I loved everything about it!
Las and Marco both recently graduated from college, where they have become friends over the last two years. Though he has NHL potential, Marco is confident that he doesn’t want a pro hockey career, but has no clue what he wants to do with his life otherwise.
Of course being a great friend, Las hooks Marco up with a summer job at his family’s ranch in Wyoming. Definitely no other ulterior motives or anything 😏
Little do they know they both have massive crushes on each other. But Las is afraid of Marco leaving at the end of summer, and Marco is not sure how to convince Las to give him a chance anyways.
Perfect if you love coming of age stories, friends to lovers, and moderately slow burns.
This was also my third audiobook narrated by Aaron Hokanson and it was utterly perfect! The beauty of the Wyoming scenery was truly brought to life.

Super cute cowboy story
Story: I was so charmed! Not only are the Wyoming landscape descriptions to die for, but the story itself is a super cute tale of finding your place in life! Love this theme in books and loved how Amy Aislin shaped her MCs. They are both genuine, mature and lovable from the get go. The book is full of swoony goodnes of the best kind!
Narration: Very good perfromance! I like the improvement I hear in the narrator's abilities. The voice matched the characters perfectly and it was easy to follow the story thanks to good characters differentiation.

Sweet romance
This was adorable. A lovely tale of seizing the day and finding your place in the world.
Las and Marco made a sweet couple and there was little angst despite the time limit on their relationship.
I was worried at first that Las was too serious too soon about a guy he barely knew and he'd not even kissed yet. But then I realised that is just how he is, plus he'd been pining for a year.
A glorious ending had me soppy and grinning for the last 20% of the book.
Can't wait for the next book. I'm hoping it's a certain photographer and ranch foreman.

Heartwarming
This is a comfort read. Marco is attracted to Las but when he asks him on a date, Las turns him down but offers him a job. Marco needs a summer job so why not. At least it will give him time with Las and maybe more.
Las has been hurt by a previous relationship and he is reserved about ever wanting to try again yet he has an attraction to Marco. The problem is he knows Marco will be leaving at the end of summer.
I feel this is a heartwarming romance and enjoyed the journey these two take. The narration by Aaron Hokanson is perfect for this story.

Beautiful
Las has nev had any doubts about his life.
Wyoming is home and where his heart is.
Marco, on the other hand has nev had the opportunity to discover who he is or what he wants
Las has been hurt before and is therefore leery of Marco
He fights his growing attraction and developing feelings for Marco but in the end, it's inevitable.
He knows their they have a time stamp because Marco's leaving at the end of the summer.
Marco's plans in that aspect have slowly changed over the summer and he's not so ready to leave.
I loved that Marco was so patient and understanding with Las and let him move at his own pace.

I loved this book!
I love Amy Aislin’s writing style, it’s catching and engaging and her books always drag me in from the first to the last page! Also, the setting of this one is gorgeous, a huge ranch in the mountains of Wyoming; I just wish I could be there!
Marco and Lass are both such great characters! I remembered Marco as one of Mitch’s teammates from On the Ice, and I loved him so much! He had a way of putting himself out there with Lass, he’s very quiet, but incredibly passionate and ready to do what needs to be done to reach his goals.
Lassiter is a bit more reserved, cautious in the beginning, not wanting to get hurt again, but he, too, is super passionate, especially about his home and family, and he has his mind set and very clear about what he wants to do with his life.
The story is super romantic, they fall in love slowly but surely, and are already halfway in love when they finally act on their attraction. It’s low angst and sweet, and, as much as I adored both Marco and Lassiter, the real star of this book was the description of the Wyoming’s landscape.

Lovely characters
I really enjoyed Las and Marco as characters, I loved their slow-burn romance as they both fell for each other more and more. I wish they had talked to each other about what they wanted. Las is afraid to get involved because Marco is only there for the season, but he never asks Marco what he wants and if he would consider staying, he just keeps putting off getting involved because he is going to leave. The setting in Wyoming sounds like a beautiful place to live and I could understand why both men were drawn to it, I enjoyed Las' enjoyment of watching Marco fall in love with the ranch. These guys were so sweet together it was lovely.
I wasn't a fan of the narrator, his voice seemed too old for the characters and it just didn't work for me, saying that, he did do a good job even though I didn't like his voice.
