Summary
The powerful and emotional new novel from the million-copy bestselling author Linda Green
In a divided northern England, love and hate are about to collide . . .
Sylvie and Donna travel on the same train to work each day but have never spoken. Their families are on different sides of the bitter Brexit divide, although the tensions and arguments at home give them much in common.
What they don't know is that their eldest children, Rachid and Jodie, are about to meet for the first time and fall in love. Aware that neither family will approve, the teenagers vow to keep their romance a secret.
But as Sylvie's family feel increasingly unwelcome in England, a desire for a better life threatens Rachid and Jodie's relationship. Can their love unite their families—or will it end in tragedy?

Really difficult subject that kept me engaged!
Really well written and voiced over! Really made me think too and how I would handle the same situation.

This is the best story I have listened to in a very long time. The story evolved so well and was very moving.

Outstanding! Very well written
Another excellent book from Linda Green. This one is outstanding. Beautifully written with characters that you'll come to love. A fictional tale that picks up
on real life issues, it will stay with me forever. Perfect narration.

Thought provoking
Beautifully and sensitively written about love that spans across all cultures. The families are very different but somehow the same.
I particularly liked the voices of the narrators they were just perfect for their characters.
The book is thought provoking as many of us have seen , heard, witnessed the issues in the storyline, but it leaves the question, would your actions be different now?

Great Performance weak storyline
This felt more like a case study than a novel. There were no twists and turns and I felt that the book should have finished an hour before it did. Definitely not as good as previous books. I felt the author wanted to make a point obviously very angered by Brexit. But to write into a book and to proclaim anyone who voted leave was a racist ignorant uneducated moran was a bit too much.

Feels like one big lecture
I normally like Linda Greens work, but this book was dreary and contrived and felt like a personal lecture at a dinner party instead of a story. Gave up and will return it.
