About this listen
Can two strangers' dreams lead to their destiny?
American Star Mendoza is living in her dream location, Edinburgh, a place she discovered in British novels while growing up.
Employed at a trendy city centre coffee shop, quirky, pink-haired Star spends her days fantasising about a handsome businessman she serves daily.
He's totally out of her league, but a girl can dream, right?
Fin Hunter is exhausted from striving for his father's elusive love and approval and of following a life path of his family’s making.
When things go drastically wrong, Fin decides it’s time to stand on his own two feet and follow his own dream.
Star is bereft when her handsome stranger stops coming to her coffee shop, but a chance encounter in the most unlikely of places leaves her wondering if her fantasy could now become a reality?
Can opposites attract over their love of a city and music, or is their story simply doomed to fail?
This book was previously published as Star Attraction.

Love this!
I loved this story, I was born in Edinburgh and have family there so I could picture the streets mentioned and really got a feel for the story and the characters. I got frustrated at times with Star and Fin and their crossed wires I could've banged their heads together. I really felt for Fin though, and the life his father had planned out for him. All Fin wanted was his parents love and approval but no matter what he did it still wasn't good enough! Its great to see him become his own person rather than one his parents want him to be.
I would definitely recommend this to read or listen, I did both. The narrator was great so easy to listen to.

A good story failed by lack of research
I was looking forward to reading and listening to this book. living locally in the Edinburgh area and the author now living in Scotland I expected the author to do her research preferably in person. Sadly it became obvious that she did not. Suggestion: use a made up name for a place if you can't get your facts right. Inveresk is a village where most of the historic houses are protected by Historic Scotland and listed . The surrounding fields are also protected as a sight of historic interest due to battles fought there. Property developers have tried to purchase land and failed except beside a village East of Inveresk. The proposal mentioned of a shopping centre adjacent to Inveresk is so unbelievably stupid. Building Access alone would never be granted.
