To say what happened in this instalment was unexpected is a bit of an understatement, I was so shocked by the ending to this one I'm still reeling. But I'm getting ahead of myself so I'll back-track, the book picks up from where we left off at the end of the previous book. Dess now knows who her real family are, she wants to get to know them but fears she would never be accepted by them if they knew who and what she really is. The guys for their part are totally supportive of her desires and vow to always have her back.
This book was for me the most shocking so far it has so much angst on Dess's part to go along with the action, suspense and intrigue woven into the storyline. There are some incredibly hot sexy scenes with her gorgeous guys and in this book, we learn a little more of their backstories. At this point, I'm loving Garrison and want to know more about him.
The cliffhanger ending was well.... I'm lost for words and definitely have more questions at the end of this instalment than I did at the beginning!
Vanessa Moyen and Stephen Dexter continue their brilliant narration and continue to bring these incredible characters to life.
