About this listen

The basis for Killing Eve, now a major BBC TV series, starring Sandra Oh and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

In a hotel room in Venice, where she's just completed a routine assassination, Villanelle receives a late-night call.

Eve Polastri has discovered that a senior MI5 officer is in the pay of the Twelve and is about to debrief him. As Eve interrogates her subject, desperately trying to fit the pieces of the puzzle together, Villanelle moves in for the kill.

The duel between the two women intensifies, as does their mutual obsession, and when the action moves from the high passes of the Tyrol to the heart of Russia, Eve finally begins to unwrap the enigma of her adversary's true identity.

Codename Villanelle, the first of the Killing Eve series, is out now!

Brilliant

Both books are simply fantastic. The drama, pace, humour, glamour and sheer hair raising fear just meant I could not put these recordings down. Couldn't wait to get out of work to clap the headphones in and pick up where I left off. can't wait for the next.

good but not great

I have become addicted to these books but I don't absolutely adore them.
It's easy listening a few interesting plot twists. A bit predictable.
I enjoyed this more than the first so I am looking forward to book 3.
Not absolutely sure I would recommend this book. However I didn't hate it.
The narrator improved vastly with this book compared to first. Her accents in the first were quite laughable.
All in all of you like lesbian fiction I would recommend it

Another great story.

I almost listened to this in a single session. Reading was great as is the story. A must for fans if the TV series as the characters are the same but a different journey.

Looking forward to the next book!

Great listening for spy/thriller fans. I haven’t seen the tv program but assume it’s pretty close to the books. No great shocks or surprises but carefully put together story. Very worth a credit.

Bloody brilliant!

I loved the tv show loosely based on the books, so bought these.

Even better than the show!!!

A shame about Constantine as the relationship between him and Villanelleis different than the tv adaptation.

Can’t wait for the next one!!! Pre-ordered it after I finished book one.

Incredible performance

I just have to say.... I didn't see that coming. I mean I did. But I didn't think that Jennings would do it.
