About this listen
Two septuagenarians win the lottery's biggest prize, dragging Walt and Ox into the most bizarre cases of their career.
The two "oldies" are determined to use their new-found wealth to re-create the past but instead propel Walt into the future where he must use drones and Star Trek phasers to balance the scales of justice.
When an extortion plot turns into kidnapping, Walt must boldly go where no cop has gone before to save himself and the millionaire.
Come along for another hilarious ride with the world's oldest and most lovable cop!
©2013 Robert Thornhill (P)2017 Robert ThornhillAs always, George Kuch's reading perfectly captures the character of Walt, warm, thoughtful, occasionally conflicted, very humerous, an excellent teller of tales. And his voicings of the other protagonists is also well performed.
A perfect pairing of story and narrator.
Excellent.
No amount of money can turn back the clock.

Walt and Ox are traveling to outer space were no man has been before, we'll okay going undercover at a star trek convention when a number of valuable items are stolen from the tv series. Walt is in his element, Ox not so much. At the same time two men win the jackpot by picking the winning lottery tickets and have great big ideas of how to spend the money. Unfortunately this brings lots of con men to Kansas city in the hopes of parting them from the money. When one of the schemes goes wrong and Walt rescues one of the men he steps into motion something that might change his and his friends lives forever because everybody needs a super hero or a tv show.
George Kuch is once again a good choice for the reader as he does an excellent job with all the characters and sets the comic scenes up well with his delivery.
