About this listen

A pulsating sci-fi thriller from the author of the global blockbuster Not Alone—perfect for fans of Andy Weir and A.G. Riddle.

I wasn’t supposed to survive.

The station has been hit. Everyone around me is dead.

I have 11 hours of life support left and no way of contacting Earth.

I’m alone. I’m stranded. I’m desperate.

But I’m alive.

The more of the station I explore, the surer I get that this was no accident. Someone did this, and I don't think they're finished yet.

Making it home feels like an impossible task, but I'm not just fighting for my own life.

I have to protect my family—whatever it takes.

And as long as I’m breathing, this isn't over.

Because whoever did this almost pulled it off...but they made one big mistake: They left the wrong man standing....

I’ve had this in my library for a while and just got around to listening to it. What a story! I’m a big Falconer fan and this didn’t disappoint. Went straight to book 2 once this was finished!

A heck of a ride!

I honestly wasn’t expecting to find a book so enjoyable when I started this, but the description was right, if you thought The Martian was awesome, this one is just incredible and to think it’s just the start in a series is so exciting!

Wow. Just. Wow.

This a very enjoyable listen, nothing too hard or difficult to keep track of.

A few obvious plot points but now 100%guessed correctly.

will certainly continue

An enjoyable listen

Interesting idea, and a v good narration. A few "surprises" are rather telegraphed but still an enjoyable yarn. There are a couple of odd changes in the quality of the recording like if they were edited in later using a different sound setup.

Good, tho with a few rocky patches

I was disappointed with this audio book and Sott Aiello. In much of the narration there is overemphasis on parts of the story that should have far more subtle tones. The story itself had promise but for me was ruined by the narration.

Overly aggressive narration

It's told in a, for me, new and great way. Highly recommended! Give it a chance.

Very good

Told, like Andy Weir's The Martial, in the first person, instantly making readers privy to the main protagonist's musings and fears and narrator Scott Aiello becomes Ray Barclay in his well modulated and paced performance.
Ray is a scientist just successfully completing his ground breaking energy work in one of four laboratories aboard a space satellite who emerges from his lab. to find everyone apparently dead for some 30+ hours and nearly all communications down. Only a few small rodents held in suspended animation together with a parrot are are breathing. What has happened and how was Ray going to get back to his family on earth without the, ability to contact them, or anyone? Then he sees old news messages on a mobile phone ...

Loved it. A large, quantity of puzzling his way through the impossible seeking odds to try to get back to those he loved and save what is left of earth if he can. This is the first of a series so, although giving a satisfactory ending, will be continuing with another book.

"The sky from the ground."

An earlier reviewer drew comparison to The Martian, but...no. This isn't hard science fiction and is, in places, ridiculous (quartering a lens to make four smaller lenses? Try it at home...). The performance went some way to keeping my interest, but the deus ex machina plot was disappointing.

Too implausible

I have never been a fan of a single authored protagonist, but this book changed my mind. it was brilliantly written, taking into account the messiness involved when under pressure , the flashback memory that built the person, I could go on and on. Craig did a fantastic job and obviously not discounting Scott the narrator, what a brilliant book.

Awesome
