Great inspiration to change the way we eat
I was recommended Allen Carr by a friend. It has changed my whole attitude to eating and choosing healthy foods. This is a life changer and it is easy to do if you read the book as recommended from cover to cover.
I wish this book was made mandatory in schools to educate everyone on food. I hope this review helps people to choose one of Allen Carrs amazing books.

A good place to start!
A great book to get you to start thinking differently about overeating. Easily applied logic.

more of a miss this time.
I loved the other easy way books as they were good uses of changing the way you think about addiction.
this book tries to shoehorn overeating as an addiction (which it may be), with the cure being to change your idea of what your favourite foods are and eat them when you are hungry. The truth is overeating can be far more complex
I also disagree with the idea to ignore experts advice and our favourite foods are only our favourites because we are brainwashed to think that way.
the book spends too much time trying to convince the reader that meat and dairy are bad and the human body cant process ( whilst admitting it's ok to cook grains to help your body deal with those) them when the truth is humans have evolved to deal with meat and dairy and a quick Google of a couple of claims are found to be dubious.
the overall message is good but this solution is to simplistic.

Speaks good sense
Once again Allen Carr tells us things that deep down we already know. But so deep down as to be out of reach. As it’s explained that processed foods (more accurately ultra processed foods) make us fat and let’s not shy away from the reality that they give us cancer too. And they are expensive! By eating ‘Nature’s way’ we are giving our bodies food they recognise and can digest. At some point of listening to this book I began thinking of making a dish to eat from scratch using natural ingredients. I am not sure my diet will be as fruit based as described because out of the US we don’t quite get the amazing range of fruits (and many are sprayed liberally with pesticides) but I am sure I can buy and eat more than I do! It’s too early to say how much weight I will lose
but I am keen to get off the diet/regain weight trap and I think this will successfully get me off that! Listen or read carefully and then enjoy the lovely hypnosis!! Genius!

Some good information
Some good information but couldn't help but feel Allen Carr was trying to replace the brain washing of the media regarding the allure of 'fake foods' (that is artifical high far /sugar combinations) with brain washing the reader into believing that unprocessed foods ARE our favourite foods. Whilst I very much agree that evolutionarily speaking, these foods are the foods our body was intended to eat, and the ones we will feel our best eating in the long term , I think he has misses the full impact of addiction to processed foods that leaves people hooked and perhaps feeling unable to convince themselves that 'natural foods are not favourite!' . That said he does dedicate some time talking about the addictive nature of sugar and salt. There is some good information here and I am certainly looking forward to applying it, so time will tell. I am just not sure this is the full answer for me . I think I am going to download the quit smoking audio book also as this may offer more information about breaking addictive cycles.

Makes sense
I will need to keep listening to this for the message to get through but everything is so honest and real, it just takes the right mindset.
