I'm into my second week of not drinking, this is nothing new for me as I have spouts of not drinking for days or weeks but always give in to cravings, my last attempt was November 18 ...3 weeks sober then returned to drinking. after a very stressful period in my life and up to my last drink I was drinking 1 70cl bottle of vodka a day and 4 beers starting in the morning to cure the fuzzy head. since starting the book I've not only stopped but I do not crave or want a drink, I've had a weekend away and 1 social event and not a drop, these things were the perfect excuse and a way to hide the amount of drink i drank. I would say its early days but this doesn't feel like any other time I have quit I know with certainty I do not want to drink anymore, its serves no purpose in my life and feel better than I have done in years.

After drinking every day for over 10 years I have now been a non drinker for 10 days and loving it!
I read a couple of other books about alcohol before Allen's but thus was the game changer.

I'm on day 27 and haven't really thought about it. In the past I'd be struggling, feeling deprived and craving a drink. This time it's different. I feel in control and I know its early days but for me this is it I don't think I'll ever drink again.

This is just brilliant. I’ve listened to other books in the past but there’s something about the method in this book that actually makes you realise and look deep into the reason behind alcohol. I for sure know I have made one of the best decisions in my life to stop drinking. Give it it go, you have nothing to lose and it may well save your life!

Don't get me wrong, this is not a good read/listen (I've listened to a fiction book told by this narrator before and that really troubled me as it sounded like a story at times), but it is obviously not meant to be. The job is to stop you from drinking and it really works. I was totally skeptical but I now have zero desire to drink now. I waited before I reviewed this to make sure that feeling lasts and it does. Highly recommend.

Not had a drink for 3 weeks, don't really miss it. And don't intend to drink again! It's like this audio re-programmes your mind.

Cannot rate highly enough. Listen twice to re-affirm some of the information. You won't regret it.

This made complete sense to me, admitted got a bit scared halfway through but by the end I knew what I wanted to do, stop drinking!! and I have 3 weeks without and not missing or needing alcohol!! If you want to stop drinking ladies this is the book for you!! good luck

I downloaded the audio book and listened to the full 6 hours in one day. The kids were at school and I did the housework with my headphones on, I would never have had the time to read the book. I'm not sure how the process has worked but it has and I couldn't be happier! I've gone from using willpower to stop drinking in the past to now having no desire for it at all, incredible! It is very very repetitive and at some points I nearly turned off but I'm so glad I followed through and persevered to the end. If you know you want to stop drinking but need a bit of help to figure out how then this may help you too.
