Welcome to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where shape-shifters, vampires, witches, and dragons live alongside humans. The town formed around the mysterious energy rift in the bayou, which helps keep the town’s magic in balance. But lately the rift has been widening and destabilizing - threatening to send the town’s magical population into chaos.
Energy witch Danica Teel has been sent by the League to figure out what’s going on, with the help of bear-shifter Mayor Zed. While working on the case, Zed falls head over paws for Dani, but she’s reluctant to engage in anything beyond a roll in his cave. Dani’s family is counting on her to get the job done, and she has no time for distractions. But when an ominous presence begins stalking Dani through the bayou, they’ll need to band together to make it out alive.

Loving this series!
Fans of Kresley Cole will love Molly Harper. I love Mystic Bayou and it's residents. This is the second Mystic Bayou book I have listened to.
I look forward to reading or listening to the whole series.
The narration is brilliant.

just good
i love these books! someone thought that it was slow but it's the charm of the story. you just get caught up in the slow ways of Louisiana and the town and enjoy.

Enjoyable characters that make you want more
Having listened to and enjoyed the first book from this series I thought it only right to listen to the second. Whilst I think the story plot of the first was better than this one as far as stand alone stories go I still enjoyed this one and think it sets up for a bigger future plot well. The narrators are great and make the characters enjoyable. I loved Zed in the first story so it was good to see plenty of him in this one.

Loved it!
Book 2 in the series was good as the first. It nice to see characters from the previous book as well as meeting new ones. The book had a few well written 'adult' moments and was funny too in places. The narrators did a great job. Looking forward to the rest of the series

Really fun story with great narration
Loved it a great fun story with some laugh out loud moments, great characters Dani and Zed compliment each other perfectly,. she is ballsy, relationship adverse with a sarcastic sense of humour, he is a neat freak bear shifter with wants a mate. Loved the narration they both do a wonderful job. Highly recommended and I hope to see more in this series as some questions remain unanswered.
