Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) thought motherhood would be a breeze and that having a daughter was a dream come true – a shopping friend for life! But it’s trickier than she thought – two-year-old Minnie has a quite different approach to shopping.
She can create havoc everywhere from Harrods to Harvey Nicks to her own christening. She hires taxis at random, her favourite word is ‘Mine‘, and she’s even started bidding for designer bags on ebay.
On top of everything else, there’s a big financial crisis. People are having to Cut Back – including all of Becky’s personal shopping clients – and she and Luke are still living with Becky’s Mum and Dad. To cheer everyone up, Becky decides to throw a surprise birthday party – on a budget – but then things become really complicated.

Would you try another book written by Sophie Kinsella or narrated by Fenella Woolgar?
I would happily listen to Sophie Kinsella all day long abd although Fenella is an excellent narrator; I felt Becky needed more vibrance injected into her tone, the narrating was a bit flat.Would you be willing to try another book from Sophie Kinsella? Why or why not?
Yes - her books are fun, easy to listen to - Twenties girl is excellent.What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I don't this it's a case of the narrator 'doing things better' I'm not sure she was the right choice on this occasion to really bring the characters to life. She played the part of Bonnie really well but Becky needed a little something extra.Was Mini Shopaholic worth the listening time?
Yes - although there is not too much of a story.Any additional comments?
I look forward to the next in the series.Good to listen to but not the best in the series
