I always enjoy the atmospheric writing of Kerry Greenwood. She transports you to the racy 20's, with an Australian flavour. This book was no exception.

This is the first audiobook of the series I listened, after having watched the series twice. A tad different, but in a satisfactory way. Upbeat, good plot, just a bit slow for me. I really liked the description and duilding of the characters. The narrator has a likeable and soothing voice, but with the spark this book needs. Having said that, I can't disregard one big problem for me. The gulps. Oh my God, those gulps! I found myself stopping a fair amount of times throughout the book, because those gulps were piercing my brain! I have already purchased other audiobooks from tge series, and now I'm dreading listening to them...

I love this series. My only complaint is I’m going to run out soon. Not for you if you’re looking for clever, psychological crime stories full of twists and turns but fun listening.

Another terrific murder mystery with Miss Fisher having to price that one death was a murder before she can even start investigating. With lots of odd people from old actors, to high wealthy land owners, Miss Fisher wades through them all. Read brilliantly again by Stephanie Daniel.
