About this listen
The Mythos University welcomes you.
The Revelation: A name given to an event that, five years ago, changed the world forever. In a single day, humanity discovered that not only were they not alone, but they were not exactly at the top of the food chain.
Living in the shadows for millennia, supernaturals now had no choice but to finally come into the light. Because of the fury of a mad god, humans and supernaturals now had to learn to coexist side by side for the first time in living memory. With the revelation that magic was not only real but far more common than fairy tales led them to believe, a new society had to be born.
Years after that fateful day, Mythos University stands as the pioneer in a new form of magical education, welcoming the world's best young magic users into its ranks. Humans, werewolves, gnomes? At Mythos, everyone is accepted and treated as equals. A true example of the new society that is emerging.
Leo, one of these young people and one of the most powerful supernaturals of his generation, is starting at Mythos as a freshman. Finally stepping out from under his parents' wings, Leo just wants to live like a normal college student: learn magic, train in magical combat, make friends, and maybe even get a girlfriend.
But is the 18-year-old dragon, and something more, ready for all the challenges he will face on his journey? Will he be able to keep his secrets at least until the end of the semester, or was his hope of remaining anonymous, just another student among thousands, doomed to fail from the beginning?
No one said that being a freshman at the best magic academy in the world was simple and easy, but Leo is always ready for a good challenge.

One of the best I have ever read in the genre
This is a great Academy based harem series with genuinely distinguishable characters and decent story line. Not high stakes but chilled out and fun.
Sometimes a little generic but It was incredibly good and easy read.
I will be preordering the sequel immediately when it comes through. I know it's out on kindle and I'll be checking it out :)

a harem story but who is the main character?
this is a bit of a departure from the genre, more closely aligned with the stereotypes of the angsty self denying main character we see in anime.
the story has shades of Dragons Justice - with the main character having the same last name, same parentage, but a lot more emo attitude. he wings between self assured and whiny which feels jarring.
the slice of life is good, but thrown off by the switch in tenses (it moves from present to past tense often in the same paragraph, especially the spicy ones)
the other issue is around the spicy content - the main character dithers and the succubus LI comes across as more the actual main character, being the one to have sex with the girls for the most part while the MC just... watches and denies himself? it's incredibly frustrating and while he does get involved, this feels more poly than harem. it actually removes the fun from the spice as he doesn't seem to have fun initially. and while that could be character development it feels like he should have gotten over this a lot sooner (given how much time is spent talking about how supernatural have wholly different morality approaches ANYWAY.)
The narration is stellar and saves a lot of the frustration in the story. I'm hoping this is just an initial setup, and we get more expansion as the potential is there, but this borders on more lesbian hotwifing than harem (not a bad thing, but the optics are very different.)
it's a solid story but the framing device I found tricky to get over as it drags a bit longer than it should, setting up all these girls then... just not following through. if Alice is meant to be the MC then that should be clearer.

Chill slice of Schoollife!
Fantastic book with a relatively low stakes story about a young dragon finding his place in the world and meeting other supernaturals!

Angsty man baby MC
Was disappointed with this story. Everything was dragged out. Keeping his secret was such a silly plot device. Perhaps it's because this is the first book by the author but this book took the times as long to get to the end, and ended half way though the story.
