Summary

Random House presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of No Time Like the Present: Finding Freedom and Joy Where You Are by Jack Kornfield, read by Jonathan Todd Ross.

Best-selling author of A Path with Heart, Jack Kornfield invites you into a new awareness: how you can free yourself, whomever you are and whatever your circumstances. Renowned for his mindfulness practices and meditations, Jack provides the keys for opening gateways to immediate shifts in perspective and clarity of vision, allowing yourself to change course, take action or simply relax.

Presenting different paths to different kinds of freedom - freedom from fear, freedom to start over again, to love, to be yourself and to be happy - he guides you into an active process that engages your mind, heart and spirit and brings real joy over and over again. Drawing from his own life, he presents a stirring call to be here, in the power of the now, the present, to work through life's biggest challenges.

Full of Wisdom

Enjoyed this latest offering by Jack Kornfield. It brought together and even repeated much of his teaching and stories from other of his books, but with a matured and profound wisdom relating to living with love and increased awareness in the present. It had useful and excellent meditation exercises too.

Disappointed. But not in the content

I am a huge admirer and avid follower of Jack Kornfield but unfortunately, for me, the narration of this book seemed to lack sincerity. Perhaps I was just disappointed not to hear Jack’s own voice but I struggled to engage with this reader who seemed not to believe any of the words he was reading and sounded like his mind was more focused on his delivery, diction and tone.
