Summary

#1 New York Times best-selling author Kendare Blake returns to New Sunnydale in this sequel to In Every Generation, set in the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Frankie Rosenberg is the world's first slayer-witch, but she doesn't have that slay-life balance figured out just yet. She's still reeling from the deadly explosion at the annual slayer retreat—and new evidence that some slayers may have survived. And while she's defeated her first Big Bad, Frankie soon realizes it was just a warm up act—and bigger, badder forces of evil are only just getting started.

The Hellmouth has been reawakened, inter-dimensional portals are opening, and an oracle warns of a new foe on its way: the Darkness. Could this be what attacked the slayers? And is it coming for Frankie?

Great follow up to the previous book!

I loved this follow on from the previous book, it had all the feels of Buffy and I don’t know why Sarah Mollo-Christensen gets so much hate with hurt narration. Her voice acting when changing between female and male characters, in particular Spike is brilliant. Very talented voice acting and an awesome book, more than worth a listen for any Buffy fan!

Just as good

Enjoyed this book as much as the first cannot wait to find out if there will be a third in the series

Great follow up

Love this series of Buffy follow up novels! Just enough lore for the die hard fans without it being overbearing for new listeners! The narrator is also excellent

Hooked throughout !

As a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I can confidently say that this continuation by Blake does the infamous show credit.
The story was great, a truly Buffy mix of great story telling and the perfect nerdy humour! I can’t wait for the 3rd. I listened to this as I ran and got lost in the story every time!
I ‘read’ the first in the series (paper back) and was surprised that they were not on Kindle when I went to read the second, So I decided to listen to book two as a leap of faith. I am so happy I did, as a fan I felt protective of the characters and feared someone would not embody them as I remembered! My fears fell short as the performance was great and all the characters came alive! I’m 100% going to listen to the next one.
