About this listen

After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty.

Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust.

Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

Even if it means keeping a secret so big, it could destroy everything.

They need an army. They need power. They need magic. And they need the one thing only Violet can find—the truth.

But a storm is coming...and not everyone can survive its wrath.

The Empyrean series is best enjoyed in order.

What a roller coaster!

Absolutely loving this series. The character development and story line is so gripping! Did not want the book to end. Will obviously read them all again before the next book release!

Hmmm

Although there were many things to like overall I was disappointed in the story as I felt like I had seen this before.

Was a great continuation, left with a cliffhanger for the next book, only bad thing is we now have to wait for another

Sheer brilliance

A gripping story to get totally lost in. What a cliff hanger. Hopefully the amazing Rebecca Yorras has the next book well under way.

Only negative was Teddy Hamilton as Xadan. That really didn’t work from my pov, too breathed and a tad whiney. I think the main narrator Jasmine Walker performs Xadens voice so much better, she is a great performer.

Way to se why it is a best seller. The whole series is worth listening to all over again.

Another cliffhanger

I do love and hate Rebecca with the same measure… the tension, the secrets and specially the cliffhanger at the end is just cruel. Much better than iron flame, the pace and the story folding was far more trialling. Can’t wait for book 4 😅

LOVE THIS SERIES

I absolutely adore this series. Some bits are thrown in for the sake of it & to force plot in a certain direction that doesn't necessarily feel natural, but I find that with a LOT of books so it's likely just me seeing it.
However, Rebecca Soler, PICK A PRONUNCIATION OF ATHBYNE & STICK TO IT!! "Ath-been", "Ath-binh" & "Ath-byne" (the last is the only way I can think to sound it out). It's really grating, especially when said multiple different ways in the same chapter. And Garrick was "Tay-vis" for two books, now he's "Tah-vis"? Come oooooon :(
