- Fool-proof parenting strategies to help your child thrive…whether at home or at school
- The most common misconceptions and fears about ADHD: It’s time to debunk the myths and unleash the truths about this disorder.

All you need to know about ADHD is in this text
As a parent of a child with special needs, I was keen to access this audiobook. Although my child has not been diagnosed with ADHD, I was able to identify many of the characteristics outlined.
I find the book informative and encouraging. I particularly love the examples of high-profile personalities who have excelled despite their ADHD diagnosis. Their inclusion presents hope and inspiration to families of children diagnosed with ADHD. The case studies of children with ADHD are a welcome addition and bring a level of reality to the text. The book is clearly well-researched and the fact that the author has two children with ADHD adds credibility to this very useful text.

Great resource for parents of a child with ADHD
Someone very close to me has ADHD and I wish there were more guides like this a few years back. I feel that even though ADHD is not uncommon, there is still quite a bit of misunderstanding around the topic, especially before it is diagnosed. In this guide, Rose Lyons debunks the most common misconceptions around ADHD and sheds light on the types of ADHD and their symptoms, ways to manage ADHD as a parent including therapy and other treatments available and ways to avoid burnout.
Incredible resource!

A proactive approach to your child's ADHD
For me, this was a very beneficial audiobook to listen to. After my niece was diagnosed with ADHD, I started reading as much about the topic as possible. What really separates this audiobook from the other audiobooks I have listened to and the other books I have read on the topic of ADHD, is that this book is written from the perspective of what the parents and family can do to enhance the child's school education and friendships. The other ADHD audiobooks I listened to and the other ADHS books I read focused more on the diagnosis of ADHD and the available treatments for ADHD - which is why I prefer "Parenting a Child with ADHD" That is, this audiobook offers the parents and family members a proactive strategy to help the child throughout life despite being diagnosed with ADHD.

Very Informational
The first part of the book is informative for a reader who isn't quite sure if their child is suffering from ADHDD. After that it is a graceful perspective to working with your child's differences, and makes sure to address the fact that this "illness" isn't necessarily all bad, but can be harnessed and appreciated by your child with the right perspective. Great info for those who need it. A good mix of advice and statistical data.

A much needed resource
Wow this book is so helpful and reassuring. The author does a great job explaining the causes of ADHD and how factors like screen time and nutrition can increase or decrease symptoms. The strategies put forth to manage ADHD really provides us with options and things to consider to help our children.
I particularly appreciated not feeling like I am on a desert island with the great tips on parental self-care. We often forget to take care of ourselves while focusing strictly on our child and the tips in this book are a good reminder of that.
This is a wonderful book for parents or grandparents with children who are showing signs of ADHD.
