Guide to Understanding
Roxanna does a great job in her book on ADHD and Emotional Intelligence. The book essentially summarizes techniques that parents can use to maximize the relationship and to destress the home environment when raising a child who is not neurotypical. What I really like about the book is the way that it is written from a parents perspective not from a medical doctor or psychiatry perspective. As a parent, it helps me relate to my child that is struggling with this because I’m not just learning the book definition, but the practical definition, qnd the repercussions that it has on the family. This book has truly open my eyes of seeing how my child views the world, thereby making me view her world totally differently. Roxanna, thanks for helping us all, as parents, better understand this difference in our children. Highly recommend to any parent.

Great ADHD resource
I am a parent of 2 ADHD kids. This book is laid out in a very organized way and helps start to guide you through what ADHD is, hyperactive behavior vs getting an ADHD diagnosis. The book also dives into behavioral issues and how to address them, specifically if the child has ADHD. A child's ability to rationalize quickly is something that a child with ADHD struggles with, and it takes a repetitive effort to work with your child to develop methods of learning to self-regulate. Chapter 7, taking the 360-degree approach, is one I had not heard of, and am happy the author included it in this book. Understanding a child's trauma, understanding their ADHD and dealing with their emotions is a lot for anyone, especially a child. Chapter 10 is extremely helpful as the author provides tools for the daily challenges of ADHD.
If you or someone in your life struggles with a child with ADHD, this book is a great resource to start diving into the world of ADHD and understand where your child may be coming from.

Great Guide for Parents of ADHD Kids
This is a super guide for parents who have an ADHD kid and have no idea where to start. There are some awesome tips on how to recognise the symptoms as well as when and how to get a child diagnosed so you know the best steps to take. There is advice on what to do to improve their lifestyle, and how to encourage them to eat healthily and take part in exercise. One of my favourite bits of the book was when the author explained that kids can see their parents as perfect figures incapable of doing wrong, and it's good to dispel that image so the kids feel more comfortable to talk to their parents when they think they've done something wrong. It was great that there were positive parenting tips at the end of each chapter to help summarise as well, great listen!

Such a Great Resource
I highly recommend this book! The author has written a clear and practical guide to helping your children overcome their anxiety. The book enables you to identify symptoms, phases, emotional reactions and much more. The real-world occurrences within the book aid in providing direct steps to follow in daily situations. Helping your child succeed or helping them learn how to succeed on their own is ideal for any parent. This book emphasized the parent’s learning about their children all over again, but this time they have this book as a guide to help their child learn emotional control and understanding of themselves and their surroundings. This is a must read.

Helpful and Practical
This book is just what you need if your child or someone close to you has ADHD. I found the book comprehensive, with the perfect amount of detail to learn about and manage those struggling with ADHD. I liked how the author guides you through the condition, from what signs and symptoms to look out for, diet, exercises, and the causes and treatments. I was highly intrigued about the benefits of ADHD, as this is rarely discussed, and usually, only the negative effects are highlighted. The author makes her book stand out with these details and additional content, which made my listening much more engaging. I learned many new facts about ADHD, such as boys being diagnosed twice as much as girls, how forgetfulness is a common trait and how people with the condition can hyper-focus if the subject interests them. All-in-all, great book!

The narration was good, and the book was easy to follow. The key lifestyle changes and insights into the neuroscience and brain basics of ADHD were particularly helpful for me. I would recommend this book to any parent of a child with ADHD who wants to unlock the secrets to better parenting and support for their child.

An enlightening book!
My nephew was just recently diagnosed with ADHD and I was wanting to better understand what not only he, but also my sister are going through. This book did a wonderful job at thoroughly explaining EVERYTHING in an easy-to-understand way that was not overwhelming. I also feel empowered now in knowing what signs to look for with my toddler, as she is exploring new emotions. I am by nature an empathetic and glass half full kind of person, so I really was drawn to the child's perspective and also the benefits of ADHD!!!! What a fresh point of view that I plan on sharing with everyone that feels worried and discouraged with this diagnosis. I will definitely be sharing this book with friends and family so they too can be equipped with the knowledge and practical advice on navigating ADHD with compassion. Thank you for such a wonderful resource!!!

Wow...Thorough and Insightful!!
As a parent of young kids under 6, we have battled the emotional ups and downs of how to best raise them in this unpredictable world. Thankfully, there are books like this that are well-researched and written to help parents like us. Sifting through mountains of articles is challenging and certainly has its merits, but it was so nice to find a resource like this that has almost everything you need, comprehensively right at your fingertips...or your ears, rather. The narration is great, the tone is empathic, and the book is thorough and insightful!
