About this listen

Perron Manor—a place evil calls home

Sisters Sarah and Chloe inherit a house they could never have previously dreamed of owning. It seems too good to be true.

Shortly after they move in, however, the siblings start to notice strange things: horrible smells, sudden drops in temperature, as well as unexplainable sounds and feelings of being watched.

All of that is compounded when they find a study upstairs, filled with occult items and a strange book written in Latin.

Their experiences grow more frequent and more terrifying, building towards a heart-stopping climax where the sisters come face to face with the evil behind Perron Manor. Will they survive and save their very souls?

Haunted: Perron Manor is Book 1 in the Haunted series, which continues with Haunted: Devil's Door.

Enjoyed the story but worst narrator I’ve heard!

Enjoyed the story which made me stick with the book but the narration was terrible when he voiced characters, he spoke too slow and in a really irritating tone, so much so I had to increase the speed of the book to make them sound like they were speaking at a normal rate and I’ve never had to do that in the 12 years I’ve been listening to audio books. Unfortunately couldn’t do anything about the tone. Will make me think twice before reading any others in this series if he is the narrator.

Terrible Narration

A prime example of terrible narration ruining a good story. The narrator of this book managed to make every single character in this book sound like a complete moron. Real people don’t all talk like that! It’s a shame too as the story itself is actually good

Slow start

After I managed to increase the speed of the narrator I enjoyed the story more, it was a little slow to start but did improve

stick to the physical book

The narration of the story itself is good, but the voicing of the actual characters was horrendous. I almost gave up at chapter 2! Sadly this has put me off listening to the rest of the series, however, I will read them.

Speed it up to 1.15

This was actually quite enjoyable. yes it's a slow burner but that's part of the fun, narrator is fine if you speed him up to 1.15 or 1.2 although yes, sorry Hannibal, your female characterisations were a bit odd.

Does not live up to the hype

The story was ok ISH but my word, the performance was dreadful. I had to put it on double speed as it was read so slowly and please, don't start me on the character voices. I stuck with it in the hope the story would carry out through, then I had spent that much time putting up with it that I felt I had to finish it. Would have been so much better without the overdramatic voices and at a speed that was not sleep inducing!

terrible narrator

I liked this story but the narrator ruined it for me. He made the characters sound like they were simple or half wits. I wish I'd got the kindle edition rather than the audio version.
