Summary
T. M. Frazier, USA Today best-selling author of the King series, brings you a new trilogy with an anti-hero you're going to love to hate and a ballsy heroine with more than just tricks up her sleeve.
Love is supposed to be magical.
Ours is suicide.
The first time I met Emma Jean Parish she conned me into taking her p*ssy. Her cat.
When she was 16 she conned me into her first kiss.
At 18 she gave me everything.
She's a con artist. I'm a criminal. I use her. She manipulates me.
Our attraction is explosive. What we have can be forever. If we survive the detonation.
Contains mature themes.

T.M Frazier is a queen
What a wild ride. I'm not at all surprised this ended on a cliffhanger (that's basically a Frasier special at this point) but I really have no idea what is going to happen. I'll imagine it's not good. Also the little cameo really made me smile. Because 🐾

A gripping opener to this must listen series.
Seriously, this lady can write a story. This is not hearts and flowers and teddy bears. This is conflict and grit and survival.
He’s the go to guy for making people disappear for the Bedlam Brotherhood and she’s a con artist for a rival organisation. Their love is a recipe for disaster at best and being put in the ground at worst.
T is all about delving into the dark of these characters but also showing us the slivers of light in them too. She is a master at her craft and I was completely addicted from the start to finish. I was itching to know what was going to happen and in true T style I did not see that ending coming.
Stephanie gives us the youthful optimist that is Emma Jean at the start of the book turning into the desperate calculating liar at the end. She gave us all the colours of EJ. She’s a new narrator to me and she did a good job at embodying EJ. Aiden plays the chosen mute Tristan when he was younger so well. I love listening to his voice, he has that deep timbre with a side of danger. Tristan’s a teenage boy with a chip on his shoulder but time with the Bedlam Brotherhood brings him out of his shell and Aiden expertly morphs into the gruff anti-hero that is Grim.
An action packed audiobook that will keep your finger off that pause button. I cannot wait to see how this story pans out.

SO BAD
This is so bad. The plot is... okay, but nothing is properly fleshed out - the characters, the relationships, the story itself. The dialogues are terrible. Not gonna read the next one or anything else from this author unfortunately.
The narration is fine, the male voice is good, the female voice is just.. being read. Not much acting at all. But it's fine.
