Summary

Clinton Clarke has everything a high school boy could want. A motorcycle between his legs. Cheerleaders on each knee. A posse behind him students and teachers alike are done fussing with. He rules the school, and everyone in it.

Except for one person. Rae Cleaver.

He's determined to make her life a living nightmare. Only because he can.

He's determined to have everyone in that school afraid of him.

He's determined to prove he's not the one to be messed with.

When he says jump, everyone in that school should ask him how high.

He's determined to get under her skin.

The only issue? She's about to wiggle her way under his.

Play with Me is a full-length novel, 90,000 words, and is the first book in a high school bully romance trilogy. Warning: It ends with a cliffhanger.

A great enemies to lovers story

Play With Me is book 1 in the Diamond In The Rough series. I've just finished listening to the audiobook and it certainly didn't disappoint. I enjoyed it so much, the story was great from start to finish. I especially liked the way the relationship developed between Rae and Clint. It was very intense in parts and ended on a cliffhanger....I would definitely recommend it!

Disappointing

I normally enjoy high school bully romances but the character development was too fast paced & felt unrealistic how Clint went from hating and bullying Rae to all of a sudden not being able to live without her.
I prefer a slow burn and this just went too quick and his taunting was rude rather than flirty.
The writing was also obnoxious with sentences ending frequently with phrases like “some shit like that”. That exact phrase was used multiple times throughout the book- almost like the author ran out of vocab.
This is a cliff hanger but I’m afraid I won’t be picking up book 2.
