Summary

After Shaun Attwood arrived in the Arizona Department of Corrections, his challenges multiplied. His cellmate threatened to cave in Shaun’s skull with a padlock in a sock. A naked neighbour dragged him into a cell for sex. Before a visit with his parents, he was attacked by a drug-crazed biker.

Forced to adapt or perish, Shaun made alliances with powerful prisoners, including T-Bone a massive ex-Marine who risked his life saving inmates from rape, and Two Tonys, an old-school Mafia murderer who left the corpses of his rivals from Tucson to Alaska. They showed Shaun how to transcend incarceration and to learn from his mistakes.

Incredible story but you are not a narrator la...

I found the entire trilogy captivating but I have to agree with many other reviews about Shaun's narrating skills - leave it to Randal next time Shaun - or better still get David McMillan on the case!

Interesting trilogy ends on poor narration

Shaun Attwood's story is definately an interesting one, and i highly recommend to give all three a listen. However, this final installment is let down by the author himself sadly, Shaun's voice sounds a bit like he is punch drunk or just smoked a massive joint.

If you can get past that, then you are in for a enjoyable telling of American prison life.

Narration let’s it down

Good story but took me ages to get used to American narrator in first 2 books. SA narrates 3rd book himself and his narration is worse than the American guy. Completely spoilt a good story

Prison Time

Prison Time gives an in-depth view of prison life in the USA. The scary thing is, it all actually happened and the characters are real people who have fell foul of the judicial system and ended up in a sometimes barbaric system. I have always been of the opinion ‘you do the crime prepared to do the time’ but with that comes the human side. The prisoners are people and have a real story to tell. Shaun Attwood brings this harrowing account of his time in prison in the USA to life and what a life it is .... highly recommend

I could listen to Shaun's stories all day.

The best audio book I've listened to yet.
I love listening to Shaun telling his stories. He truly is a world class speaker. This man is an inspiration to me and will be to many others. I can't recommend this book enough. Thank you Shaun for reading your book.

Shaun’s unique story and writing style makes for a fascinating delve into another world.

From watching his excellent YouTube channel I was already familiar with his story. Although a dark torturous subject matter Shaun’s superlative command of language and relatable writing style draws you into his world. Prison is a microcosm of society so you meet people from all walks of life Your introduced to the different characters he lives with and those that have stories that are above the norm even more intimately as he blogs for them. Shaun ties the modern day adventure stories of the inmates lives together with a razor sharp wit and hilarious commentary. It really is a literacy treat which I devoured in the first two days and then immediately began again. You learn about his mental journey that got him there and how he manages to cope with the situation of being incarcerated But against all odds he finds positives and uses his time to improve himself and help others.
