About this listen
Reed is the last of the king's bastard triplets to fall into one of Edward's traps. He vows never to pay fealty to the father who ordered the boys killed at birth. On one of his raids he comes across Maggie Gordon, his childhood sweetheart who he thought had died the night of Burnt Candlemas. While Reed embraces being a Scot even though he doesn't have a drop of Scottish blood in him, Maggie is acting like an Englishwoman instead.
Maggie Gordon escaped Scotland with her baby brother the night King Edward III pillaged and burned her land. She witnessed the deaths of her family members and has vowed never to return to Scottish soil, wanting to leave her traumatic memories behind.
But now Reed is back in her life and as children they promised to marry each other. But her problem is that she's betrothed to a rich English baron - and Reed is nothing but a bandit.
Can feelings and memories be pushed aside so true love can shine through?

Good book
This is a good book with good characters. I enjoyed the banter between the the brothers. I have to say that I was not pleased the way things turned out for Summer. I look forward to Brody 's story as well as the new series for the sisters. Hopefully Summer will get a happy ending. This was an amazing read so much drama, excitement, suspense and action I have enjoyed reading this book.

Loved every minute of it
This was the 3rd book of the series of the Legendary Bastards which was another great story. I couldn't stop listening. Loved every minute of this series also. Thre narrator was very good, he had a voice for every character, which I think was brilliant. But I don't like the way he narrates the love scenes, it's like they're talking about the weather when they're making love.
But I really recommend all of Elizabeth Rose's books, they're worth every credit. So if you'd like to listen to them all, then it's best to listen to or read them in this order.,
Legacy of the Blade.
Daughters of the Daggers.
Madmen McKeefes.
Legendary of the Bastards. which is this series.
Then there's the story of Brody, Pirate of the Mist, which will be the next one I will listen to.
Then there's the series
Seasons of Fortitude.
But I will listen to Springs story then there's Coira's story of another series.
Then I will listen to the rest of the series, Seasons of Fortitude, Summer's, Autumns and Winters stories. Then there's the series,
Highland Chronicles, about the sons of Madmen McKeefes. Then
Secrets of the Heart, about the daughters of the Legendary Bastards.
Then there are a couple more series that don't need to be read in order like the ones above.
Now on to the next one.

Reed
Reed, so enraged by what he feels is stark betrayal by both his brothers, decides that instead of continuing to get revenge on King Edward, he will turn his efforts to stealing from and having his revenge on his brothers. Reed flees a botched raid at Rowen’s castle with his childhood sweetheart and her brother with him. He and Maggie want to stay together, but there is a complication that forces them to go back to England, where Reed will face his brothers and his father. The king is determined to make peace with the last of the triplets. Will Reed and Edward come to terms, and if so, how? Elizabeth Rose delivers another well-written story with strong engaging characters and a compelling plot with challenges, surprises, and romance all brought to life by Brian J. Gill’s excellent narration. This one has an interesting conclusion.

Reckless Highlander
I have enjoyed this book immensely. The story continued with book three. The narrator told the story as if he played every part in it. His Scottish accents are amazing. The brothers are friends again and Ross realised that he missed Annallise and they got back together. The midwife told Reed that as he was the third child and the largest being born it was he that killed their Mother, which upset him very much. This last book completed the Bastard Triplet series and they were so interesting . The King eventually accepted all the sons. Thank You Miss Rose for the lives of these characters. X
