3 Stories - All different but Satisfyingly Regency
These audiobooks definitely exceeded my expectations. I had expected them to be very similar and I was not entirely wrong because all of them are set in the Regency period and reflect all that the Regency entails. However each story is different because the protagonists have remarkably different back stories and personalities. And yet the stories are connected through friendship and a quaint boarding house for blue stocking, thinking women. There is enough "meat" in each story to give the plot weight without being repetitive, considering the three stories are bunched together.
For me, Regency romances work as wonderful, glamorous stories I can escape into. And this book more than met my escapism needs! I enjoyed them!

Narrator detracts
Nice easy listening except for the detraction of the female narrator who is quite irritating. The 3 stories were all about reluctant brides yet all different enough to be entertaining.

Oh that voice
I don’t know if I will last to the end as this woman’s voice is awful! Sorry but there it is.

Absolutely dreadful narration!
I'm afraid I didn't get more than a minute in to this book. Dreadful. Truly Dreadful. My recommendation is to buy the paperback version and read it yourself! I apologise to the author as I was interested in the story from the description, but I should have thought to listen to the excerpt. I don't bother normally as in all my years of being with audible I have generally accepted all the books I have bought, even though some of the narrators have irritated me, but this was just intolerable. What a shame.

loved it
I love the dual narration in this series. It's brilliantly done and adds another level of enjoyment of the stories.
Each book has a lovely romantic storyline with some comedic elements. I laughed out loud on a few occasions. They are a charming read and I loved listening to this collection.
