Summary
A night to remember, a confession, and a lifetime of love in this small-town, friends-to-lovers Christmas romance.
Andrew Lawson’s life in Sacramento has turned from being everything he dreamed of growing up to a lonely place where finding someone special to share his life with is impossible. When the first person he meets on returning home for Thanksgiving is his childhood friend Link, it’s a reminder of happier times when his whole future lay in front of him. Agreeing to a drink before heading to his parents' place is a way to reconnect, and a great way to start the holiday.
Link Stanton never considered leaving the small farming town he grew up in, but he misses Andy more than he’ll ever admit. Secretly lusting after a friend is bad enough, but being in love with him is so much worse. One drink with friends seems harmless enough—after all, catching up on old times can’t be a bad thing—until beers turn to shots, and Link reveals how he really feels.
Everything could change, and if Andrew doesn’t remember Link’s heartfelt confession, they could carry on as friends. But if he does remember, this could be either the worst, or the best, Christmas of all.

All the Christmas feels.
I first read this book between Christmas and New year and loved the whole feel of it. Now I've just finished listening to the audio version and loved it even more.
Jack Watson brought the characters alive, and Drew seemed to have more warmth within him.
Since early childhood, these guys had been friends, but Link felt far more for Andy/Drew than the other way around.
It is a lovely small-town romance, friends to lovers, and I love the family side, especially Andy's family claiming Link as their own. Such a great read.
But I always get a great read from BL Maxwell. Highly recommend.

Love holiday romance year-round
I just loved this romance between Link and Andy. It perfectly captured the small town memories of these friends growing up together and now reconnecting. I also enjoy a good amnesia plot and this was an interesting take on that as Link worries and hopes as he waits to see what Andy will remember. Jack Watson did a wonderful job of bringing these guys to life. I look forward to hearing more of his work.

Remember when in audio as good as the written book
About the audiobook:
Jack Watson was a new (to me) narrator and he did the book justice. The story was given another dimension by the pleasant voice of the narrator. I enjoyed listening to the book after having read it a couple of months ago. Even tough the story is placed in the winter holiday season the tale of frendship, love and finding home is a good one year round.
About the written book:
I really loved reading this contemporary (childhood) friends to lovers holiday story.
Andrew, Andy for his friends and family back home and Drew for his coworkers in the city and Link, just Link for all, have been friends for as long as they and everyone else can remember.
I found the title well chosen since all the characters remenisce a lot, especially the the mc's. But also the fact that Andy is trying to remember when or what Link said or did when he had one to many shots at Thanksgiving. He needs to find that memory. The way how both Andy and Link go about this is sweet.
I really appreciate that the author has taken the opportunity to write a pan character, Link, in this story for me it was so good to read about a character that was not defined by restrictions on who he is supposed to love. I also appreciate the fact that the characters, whilst being in a relationship keep their independence and are true equals, both have their own bussiness, in the relationship.
Ofcourse by now you susprected the story has a hea/hfn.

Wonderful
Ive read the book and loved it but oh how many emotions I missed out on that the narration highlighted. fantastic choice for the narration but mostly these characters were the type to linger with you long after their book is done. I loved their memories and the recollections and the strong feeling of family.

Sweet Friends to Lovers Romance
I loved the sweet and heart-warming way this story developed. After a night of drinking, and a heartfelt confession, Andy and Link each know how they feel about the other, but neither knows for sure how the other feels about them, because Andy doesn't remember Link's confession. This is a sweet, slow journey down memory lane as the two spend time together and Andy strives to remember Link's whispered words. In the end, does it really matter as the two reconnect and remember old times and fall undeniably in love. I loved the warm feelings of Christmas and the excursions out shopping for homemade and personal gifts.
The narrator was new to me, and he did a good job setting the mood. I could feel the Christmas spirit in the air.

Sweet, tender holiday romance
I loved Drew and Link.
This story was full of the magic of the holiday season.
Add in a dash of friends to lovers, found family aspect and small town romance and I was hooked.
The addition of the issue of remembering just made it so much better.
The author always creates such vibrant, emotionally compelling and realistic characters that I can instantly connect to.
Jack Watson is a new to me narrator and he did a wonderful job of creating the story for my imagination.
