sugar sweetness
I wasn't sure what I expected for Patrick's voice but the narrator nailed it. Each voice was distinctive and done simply.
Strawberry Kisses is a super sweet, friends to lovers story with a coming out and fake relationship. All were done well with plenty of communication between the characters and no unnecessary drama

Sweet and sassy
I adored Connor and Patrick. They are so cute and perfect together. I love to read books with pastry chefs so this is just want I want. It was sweet, fluffy, sassy and a wonderful book.
Dan did a great job with this book.

Great take on a favorite trope
I love that in this version of the fake boyfriend story, Patrick and Connor have both been in love with each other for years, but neither has stepped up and confessed that to the other. A family weekend or closer than close proximity, ensures that the secret can't be kept and these two get their lovely HEA. Dan Calley gave a great performance that captured all the sweetness and light in this story.

MM Easy to listen, friends to lovers
This is an easy-to-listen, low-angst friends-to-lovers book.
Pastry Chef Patrick is best friends with Connor, a Pole dancer.
Connor and Patrick secretly want to be together, but neither has ever reached out. However, Patrick's family wants to meet Connor, and things become complicated.
As usual, Dan Calley narrates well. I speeded up the narration to 1.20 on Audible, which is my norm. It's well worth a listen.

Cute friends to lovers story
Story: A really cute friends to lovers story with a bit of a fake relationship theme thrown in. Charlie Novak did a great job of creating relatable, genuine characters. Both of the MCs and the secondary ones were very likable from the get go. The story holds no angst and is a real fluffy pleasure.
Narration: Great performance by Dan Calley. Easy to follow with discernible characters.

Amazing like always
This was a reread for me as I’ve read strawberry kisses before. However dans accents just make this audio for me and I found myself listening at every given opportunity. Dans delivery was just perfect. Conner and Patrick are one of my favourite couples and I love their story so much

Finally Ready .
MM, Fake Relationship, Friends to lovers, Contemporary, Romance. Easy to read/listen to story, I had read the book and was thrilled when it came out on audio. Dan Calley gives these great characters their voices and I loved listening to their story come to life. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Guaranteed HEA.

I simply adored this book.
Patrick and Connor are two wonderful characters. Patrick is just a big, sweet teddy bear of a pastry chef, completely (and secretly) in love with his best friend Connor. Connor, is a force of nature: a heels and make-up-wearing pole dancer, just as desperately, and secretly, in love with Patrick.
When they decide to fake being together over a weekend for the benefit of Patrick’s family, they’re not pretending at all, and the step from a fake to a true relationship is as simple as it is sweet.
Love Charlie Novak’s writing; it’s fresh and engaging and her stories are always a page-turner, or, in this case... I just couldn't stop listening!
