About this listen
MrRomantic: I kissed my bully. And I liked it.
Sweet_Peaches: And? How was it?
MrRomantic: It was hot. So hot. But...
Sweet_Peaches: But?
MrRomantic: I think I’m in love with someone else.
Sweet_Peaches: Who?
MrRomantic: I think I’m in love with you.
Sweet_Peaches: But you haven’t even met me. You should give your bully a chance.
MrRomantic: Why?
Sweet_Peaches: Because he has feelings for you.
MrRomantic: How would you know?

Also, this in not only an enemies-to-lovers story: it’s a lifelong relationship! Nathan and Hudson are best friends since childhood, thick as thieves, always together. Then Hudson turned his back on Nathan when he came out and became one of his high school bullies. But things aren’t always what they seem and Hudson is not that boy anymore.
Nathan is so confused by this new Hudson and his attraction to him, he doesn’t know what to do… add in his connection to the man he’s talking to on-line, who doesn’t want to meet in person… and poor Nathan’s head is spinning like crazy!
This book is so full of emotions, there’s love, resentment, longing, sweetness, cute on-line banter and everything you may want to keep you glued to this new Cedarwood Beach book!
Great listen!

Enemies to lovers
Ex friends due to Hudson's betrayal (homophobic bullying when Nathan came out)
Hudson hired Nathan to tutor him
Anonymous online dating
Found family
Hudson was painted as a bad guy but unlike the previous 2 books where the "grumpy" character came off as a total AH, I actually liked Hudson and felt bad for him under his circumstances. I loved Nathan too and throw in the fact that Kyle is his friend and is totally hilarious and adorably ridiculous, along with Nathan's big crazy family and this book had a great cast of characters.
I loved this story from start to finish. It was giving me "you've got mail" vibes which I love. The 2 MCs had amazing chemistry together. Surprisingly it was pretty low angst and medium steam. The twist at the end caught me off guard but I thought it was a brilliant way to explain things. This was definitely my favorite of the 3 books so far. I would definitely recommend it if you are a fan of the trope. I can only hope for a future update on this great couple.
I'm a big fan of Zachary Zabas. He has a very pleasant reading voice and flow. He expressed the emotions wonderfully and brought the story to life. He gave all the characters including the side characters their own distinct voice that suited each of them perfectly and made it very easy to follow the story.

Hudson and Nathan were bff’s when younger then something happened that made them enemies. When they face each other years later, things are uncomfortable until they are not.
Hudson has had a rough life. His dad is a real jerk. His mom left when he was young. His dad has used Hudson to take out all his anger. Nathan didn’t know all this but finds maybe this explains a few things. Their path to resolve the past kept me staying up later than I should have. The surprise issues gave me the oh light bulb. I appreciated how the author resolved the issues.
The narration by Zachary Zaba brought these characters to life.
