About this listen
My name is Piper Hadley and I went missing on the last Saturday of the summer holidays three years ago.
When Piper and her friend Tash disappeared, there was a huge police search, but they were never found. Now Tash, reaching breaking point at the abuse their captor has inflicted on them, has escaped, promising to come back for Piper. Clinical psychologist Joe O'Loughlin and his stalwart companion, ex-cop Vincent Ruiz, force the police to re-open the case after Joe is called in to assess the possible killer of a couple in their own home and finds a connection to the missing girls. But they are racing against time to save Piper from someone with an evil, calculating and twisted mind....

BRILLIANT BOOK
Thoroughly enjoyed this book, for me even better than Shattered (though of course that too was brill), kept me listening from the very beginning. I would have listened to the whole book in one go in fact I very nearly did and am sorry to have finished it now.. Might listen again right away. Sean Barrett is a great narrator he brings the books to life. Buy it you won't regret it!

Brilliant
This is well worth the listen. The plot had me guessing right to the end, and what a twist; I didn't see it coming. Brilliant story with twists and turns all the way.

absolutely brilliant,
I purchased this book to listen to as I painted every door in my house over the bank holiday week-end. This book was riveting and I finished painting 10 doors plus frames and the hall skirting in two and a half days. Listening made the job enjoyable. I have read many of his books, all good, and listening was just as good as reading it myself. The characters felt real and the story was compelling just had to finish it. So all the painting got done. wonderful.

One of the best
This was more fast moving and action packed and all those words but still thoughtful..because Jo is. More centred on Jo and less on other characters although they did make an appearance. Also majored on victims which was spooky and felt weird. A lot of victims but two main girls real stars. This book was scarily realistic because you've read the headlines. ...for once glad I am too old...probably.
