About this listen

Stephen hates Christmas with a passion. It’s one of those holidays he just wishes could be erased from the calendar, forever.

Especially after last year when he was looking forward to spending Christmas with the man he loved enjoying the festivities and exchanging gifts. Only Stephen was given a gift he wished he could return, but there was no receipt.

Fast forward a year, and so much has changed. Stephen is single and moving on with his life. One night while working at a Christmas Party in a swanky hotel, he gets a little more than he bargained for after an encounter with one of the guests, except he’s left with nothing other than the memory of the feeling of lips on his body and a man he desperately wants to know better.

Will their paths cross again? Maybe this year Santa Claus might just give him something he actually wants to open on Christmas morning

NOOOOOOOO, what happened after?

Great little story.
Well performed.
Struggle to find a yorkshire accent sexy but enjoyed the story.
Would love there to have been more to the story, to find out what happened with Stephen and James next. I guess I'll just have to use my imagination.

Enjoyable

A year after bad break up, Stephen encounters a mystery man but doesn’t get his name. When he encounters James again, it looks like this will be a much better Christmas. This was enjoyable and the showdown with Stephen’s ex was riveting. The narration closely shadows Stephen so I never felt I really got to know James over this short story. 🎧 Dan Calley gives his usual excellent narration.

Perfect story for this time of year and I knew I would love it. Louisa writes brilliantly and Dan gas the perfect voice which makes listening easy.
