Shadow Work Journal & Workbook
Simple and Profound! This guidebook expounds in clear engaging language without any psycho babble Jung's concept of the Shadow Self. It really draws you in with the highly imaginative metaphors of this being a journey into the self and into a wealth of treasures. The rationale for why you should read this book and how exactly it will help you is laid out in terms that the layman can understand easily and can relate to. The prompts through questions at the end of each chapter help to the reader to reflect on and apply the lessons of each chapter to themselves. The narrative style is so engaging and friendly and makes you feel as if a friend is gently prompting you through a tour of your hidden self. There really is a lovely flow through this book without anything becoming staid or high brow and lost in theory. It was a thoroughly enjoyable read and listening to it I felt lulled in such a tranquil state of internal reflection that understanding its lesson came easily to me. A must for anyone who wishes to reach a deeper level of self awareness and turn their trauma in to a source of power and strength.

An essential listen for anyone on their journey of self development and healing
Every now and again we come across something in our lives that really speaks to us, moves us forward and helps us to be a better version of ourselves. This audiobook is one of those ‘somethings’.
I was asked to review Shadow Work - Journal and Workbook as a fellow author, counsellor and therapist and I was more than happy to do so.
The book’s title promises an in depth workbook based on the works of Carl Jung, and it does not disappoint.
Buchwald’s approach throughout the book is both accessible and engaging, not only explaining the ‘What’ of Jung’s Shadow Work, but also the ‘Why’ and, perhaps more importantly the ‘How’ to work with what you find.
The author uses easily relatable examples to illustrate meaning, uses humour where appropriate and a series ou journal prompts to assist in your healing journey.
When listening to the narrator it is easy to imagine that you have your own therapist in your living room supporting you on your healing journey.
If I could have given this audiobook more than five stars I would have.

Excellent Work
I’d recommend this book to anyone struggling in life as it really opens your mind up, it also helps how easy the narrators voice is to listen to.
The best part about the book was the journey it takes you on and the big emphasis it has on self reflection.

Unearthing the Hidden Self
This book opened my eyes and widen my perspective. “Shadow Work Journal & Workbook" is an insightful exploration into the depths of the human psyche, as it draws inspiration from Carl Jung's 'shadow' concept. This book guides the reader through a journey of self-discovery as it offers practical tools to unearth suppressed emotions and heal past traumas. Merging theory with hands-on exercises, this workbook is ideal for both individuals seeking inner clarity and therapists enriching their methodologies. A transformative tool in its essence, it champions the quest for self-love and true self-reclamation.
