Cora Kenborn is one of the authors that pushes all the right buttons for me. She is dark, she is suspenseful, and always has that romance thread that I love. Sixth Sin hits the ball right out of the park. I am a fan of the story of Anastasia, and Kenborn's retelling of this is spine tingling suspense and a never ending love. Dominic needs a story, and finding the missing Alexandra Romanov would bring him back into the graces of Hollywood,as well as help him out financially. Angel is a fallen actress and this role of a lifetime, playing Romanov would be the push she needs. But can this couple, who cannot stand each other really pull off the greatest hoax of all time? Yes, it says enemies to lovers, but this love is so deep, and their story so strangely beautiful, it is hard to fathom they were ever enemies. Secrets and deception is so prevalent, and the twists and turns in this story so unpredictable yet totally believable. The supporting cast of Luciano, Violet and Dominic's mother all add depth and complexity to this dark book. I couldn't stop listening! It's amazing and you will definitely want to listen to it.

A book like this needs a good cast and the choices of Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne were fantastic. Stark plays the intricate role of Angel. Angel has more than she realizes going on in that head and Stark handles each scene spot on! I loved her. Dominic is also extremely complex. DeBruyne understands each facet of his personality and brings out the perfect inflections and nuances to give Dominic the edginess and loving person he is. This is the perfect team for this story.

Sixth Sin by Cora Kenborn is a dark Hollywood mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne.

The book does come with a caution/warning: "Please be aware this book contains dark themes and sensitive subject matter that are essential to the storyline but may bother some readers."

This is the third book of Cora’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. The book had a lot of twists and turns that kept me hooked until the very end. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Angel and Dominic. I really enjoyed getting Angel, Dominic, and Luciano's points of view. It really brought the story to life.

Mollie and Tanner did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, romantic suspense, or psychological thrillers.

The tagline "A dark and twisted enemies-to-lovers retelling of Anastasia" had me sold on this story already.

Dominic McCallum has forced Angel into the shoes of Alexandra Romanov, the missing heiress of a Hollywood massacre. I've been a fan of Cora Kenborn since I first picked up Blurred Red Lines and this Hollywood Underbelly Mafia story is just as epic. I really liked Angel and Dominic. The twists, mixed with the mystery and intense situations. I think the whole retelling translated really well to the LA scene. Must say I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Told in dual narration by Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne the storytelling is pure fire.

Audiobook review. This was quite the interesting story. I thought I had it figured out but the twists at the end really surprised me.

I did feel at times I had to suspend my belief and that there was at least one transition in the beginning that felt a bit abrupt but nonetheless I was still quite entertained by the dynamics and history between Dominic, Angel, Alexandria and those involved in their pasts.

Dominic was by no means the traditional hero. In a lot of ways he fit more as an anti-hero. His actions were mostly self motivated and he hurt a lot of people on his path towards achieving his goals. He made mistake after mistake. Angel was quite the dynamic character. She definitely had her faults but she thrived when others may have been broken by her experiences.

Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne are new to me but they did a great job in their roles. The audio quality was solid throughout, even at my higher listening rate.

Once I started listening to this book, I did not want to stop, the storyline was everything you could ask for in a dark romance. I understand that it's a retelling of the story Anastasia but as I've never read that for me this was a totally original story.

The story is well-written and both the plot and the character development are so well thought out and beautifully drawn. Dominic and Angel share a chemistry that is both palpable and explosive as well as hot. It's a story of love, hate, brokenness, vengeance and revenge as well as justice. The plot-line is a little dark, but not over the top and has so many twists and turns, some I did see coming but some surprised me and a couple blew me away.

There is more I could say but that would involve spoilers - so no - read or listen to the book yourself, you won't be disappointed.

The narration is by Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne both of whom I've never listened to before but I have to say they did an excellent job with this one.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

I will be totally honest!!! I finished listening and immediately restarted and listened a second time!! Holy moly, what a story that takes you around the bend and back again. I noticed these little details on my second listen that just blew me away. This was an incredible story that will definitely stick with me. The narrators were amazing. It added another level to the story.

Just when I thought I had this book pegged it threw yet another curveball. Cora has written an absolutely brilliant book here with fantastic characters and in-depth adventurous storyline I couldn’t put down. Absolutely brilliant performance from both Mollie and Tanner.

Fantastic retelling of the story of Anastasia in a modern, Hollywood setting. So many twists and turns in the story of Dominic and Angel. The violence she endured as a little girl was truly terrible and can be a trigger for some.

I was drawn in to this story right from the beginning. I enjoyed the way Cora Kenborn revealed the story in pieces with a fantastic ended. The narration by Mollie Stark and Tanner DeBruyne elevated the characters and brought them to life for me.
