About this listen
Early and social interaction skills are essential for every child to get the best start in life. Skills like language, eye contact, and self-regulation are just some of the things your child needs in order to excel - personally and academically!
Since the pandemic, both parents and teachers are becoming more concerned about children’s abilities to interact. On top of that, there are delays in referrals to specialists.
According to the Education Endowment Fountain, in September 2020, 20-25 percent of children starting school needed help with language skills compared with the previous year.
Are you worried that your child isn’t showing the typical social interaction skills for their age? Are you waiting for a referral and frustrated there isn’t more you can do? Is your child receiving speech and language therapy, but do you want to do more for them?
In Speech Therapy for Toddlers you will discover:
- One hundred and thirty-seventh games and activities that require everyday objects you have at home - or just your time
- How 5 minutes of your time can make the world of difference to your little one
- Eight age-appropriate checklists to know that your child is on the right track
- Amazing insights into leading authorities and the latest research in the field of early and social interactions
- How to help children improve their speech and language development with targeted speech sound books
- Recipes to create with your little one - from biscuits to face paint
- How other parents in your shoes have overcome what seemed the impossible with simple solutions
- Fifteen social stories that you can adapt to help your child, from going to the dentist to making friends - plus a free comic strip conversation to inspire you
- The importance of all family members learning about their emotions and talking about them to reduce meltdowns
- A bonus section dedicated to helping children over 5. With one audiobook, you can support your child from birth to 10 years old.
As early interaction is so important, you are probably thinking that you don’t have the qualifications to make a difference. This is not true! You know your child better than anyone else and with the knowledge and experience in this audiobook, you are more than qualified.

Such a informative and helpful book
This is a great resourceful book with so much good information for speech therapy to help toddlers with simple and powerful practices.
I suggested this book to my close friend as they have a toddler with some issues with this matter and starts as soon as possible because as the book suggests the last thing you want to do is wait around. This book also gives confidence to parents with good solutions to their problems as fear of unknown can sometimes be worse than the situation which is so true as stated at the book.
Highly recommended to parents who has kids with a speech issues! A must read book!

Really informative
Kids love to learn but they don’t like to be taught! This is such a great tool that explains how to teach your child through play and song, They don’t think they're learning it's just playing it's brilliant!
A great audiobook, very well narrated, I would highly recommend it to anyone with a young child.

Parents-help your child with speech and language
Amazing games and checklists to help our children, fun and inventive too. My children are already showing signs of improvement which will only improve with time. I wasn’t sure where to start and this book has simple solutions and fun with all the family joining in too. I feel until my child finally gets a referral we can help them to do more in their speech, language and social abilities.

Practical and easy to follow
As a parent it's difficult to fully know whether your child is behind in terms of development or not. However, when you have it confirmed they are in terms of their speech then getting to work in helping them develop their speech is very important. This combined with a professional to help out has been invaluable. Great range of exercises are included which have already shown to be helpful
